Came in here to buy some cards. I was asking for a simple plastic covers for some graded Slabs said he does not have any & makes a big deal & starts looking at me crazy & smirking for asking that question. He says there called Team bags after having to ask repeatedly about 4 times & then call the store afterwards for confirmation. Instead of asking me if I wanted to order some? Or wait until he gets more like a professional business. He says No i do not have any for sale! & that if I wanted to pay him extra for team bags that he does not have any for sale. He stated i would have to purchase individual cards for more Team bags.. wow how low business wise do you have to be to tell a repeat customer that? over a cheap plastic sleeve.. Okay? I'll go to Empire cards @ the sunset mall. The owner never gets flustered if I ask for help or make funny faces at me while doing do for just asking questions. He would probably give me a few for free just saying.. Especially if I purchased multiple items from the store like I did here on this day. Or maybe ill just order them online. My bad dude for trying to support a local business. All over a piece of plastic I was willing to...
Read moreSo I first went on 4/19 and its located right in the center of San Angelo, and not far from any fast food places as most gamers want nearby food but also if you are just a bit hungry they have a variety of snacks and drinks with good pricing that won't hurt your wallet, also safe to say they have some of the most competitive prices for your trading card game needs on product and singles.
the play area is very clean and everything you can expect out of a shop that cares about itself. this is not to say that there is no room for improvement but this hobby store has prepared everything it could to ensure they come out successful in the heart of san angelo.
Maybe this review will convince you to come in and i hope it does because the owners are wonderful people of the community and want to bring in a better experience of what a store should be to...
Read moreSmall local shop but a big impact on the local tcg community. Prices for magic the gathering product, singles, sealed, or accessories, are all well within market pricing and they buy cards at competitive rates. The website is easy to use to buy and sell singles. Regular events for most popular tcgs are frequent and prize support is solid. The very casual setting makes it easy to relax and throw some cardboard around. The owners come from the local tcg communities so they make decisions with the player perspective in mind. Play space is decent, and the location is incredibly convenient, being just doors down from one of my favorite local sushi places, but also from a sports bar and a few fast food options. Parking is usually plentiful. Overall if you're looking for a San Angelo LGS to frequent, Spellbound should be your...
