we lived on Probandt & Hwy 90 where the Jack-in-Box now stands..my grandparents bought the house in 1935..as a kid I used to hang with my buddies up and down Flores/Mitchell streets..riding our bikes..siting in front of Bolners and other places..some times we'd get free sandwiches.. I worked there for a few weeks in my teens during the summer in the 1960;s..and we used to go swimming at Castillo park..SA river was great...about 10-12 buddies from around our neighbor hood. hanged out there during the summer......... ..recall a dance hall next or close by Bolners...the area was always pretty safe..even at night when they had dances..except one night there was a big fight that dragged outside..cops were called then everyone went back to dancing..I like buying the good quality meats and other things here..they may cost a little more but the quality is good....we hated meat from los Chinos store located Flores/Pleasanton..it...

It was good, but then came the macaroni and cheeseâŚThey were like these little elbow shaped miracles from heaven drizzled in this divine yet somewhat naughty cheese that must have been produced from the Queen of Cowville where all of her subordinates fed her only the finest grass in the land. I would bathe in this cheese if ever given the opportunity. 5 STARS YO! It gets better though. The banana pudding was simply breathtaking. I almost cried on the last tiny spoonful knowing that there would be no joy left in my day, or life for that matter, until I had more of this light, airy and seductively sweet dessert that i would walk on broken glass to taste again.    Read moreCame here looking for a real butcher. We had a great one back home in Minnesota, so we were missing one here. Walked in and it smelt just like home. We were in awe. Staff was super helpful, let them know it was our first time in and we were just taking it all in. They pointed us to the different parts and to just ask if we needed anything. We settled on boneless ribeye to grill ( will edit as to how meat turns out), a few pieces of beef jerky and 4 venison sticks, which we got to try first.
