I went to this restaurant on my birthday 1/31 recently and I've been coming here for years since I was a little girl. I really wanted a bowl of menudo and I had ordered a taco on the side. I stepped out for a business call while waiting for my food came back was about to eat and saw a hair right on top of the menudo. I told my grandmother it was probably just a mistake and was going to attempt to look the other way. Then as I was picked up a scoop another hair was hanging off my spoon. I told the waitress politely that I hadn't even taken a bite and found 2 hairs that I would just order another taco in a little bit instead and she apologize and said okay. The waitress even saw herself both. Several minutes later the lady working the register came up to our table and asked if I didn't want the menudo I told her no I'm okay and explained it was my birthday and really wanted that but I would pass since they make it by the pot i didn't want to chance it on another bowl given to me. She told me "well it sat on the table for a while." I told her that's fine I had a work call and was not complaining about the temperature I was going to eat it. I told her it was because I found 2 hairs before I even got to try it. Her response "we all have hair it happens" I told her never-mind I don't even want to order nothing else. Just because we all have hair doesn't make it alright and to make customers eat the food with multiple hairs in it thats unsanitary. That was completely rude and unprofessional when I wasn't even being ugly or rude while telling them. As a business owner of 2 businesses myself this was unprofessional and would never myself or have my employees treat a customer this way. Again the food has always been good here but thisbincident of unprofessionalism was...
Read moreHad car worked on block down walk over and Arrived and name taken due to being busy, waited about 7min then called inside. Sat behind water jug area and waited about 7more min till someone got my drink order. With drink order got me a bean cheese and bacon taco, if that simply taco passes the taste test then all food should be great. Well it was great, beans tasted great and the bacon was on point. Wanted to place order soon after for the main dish well that took a while to take. Finally waitress took order down while refilling my coffee and asked her to take the main dish down. Order me two pork chops with scramble eggs and instead of regular potato’s wanted chorizo potato’s no problem. After a few min a lady was filling up the water jug containers right behind me and bammm my back got splashed on with lots of water. Turned around and seen her filling up water jug but no sorry or acknowledgment of wetting me lol… ok let it be but then Waited 30min and was getting up to leave and cancel order when I see my possible plate placed on the window and waitress hurrying to bring to me seeing I was about to leave. So I stayed and tried it out. All good tasted good, homemade tortillas and all. Just wished they were more attentive to the wait. Yes your busy but it’s my first time there not sure if this is typical of wait or so but some assurance of order put in and it’s on the way goes a long way. Other than getting wet and two solicitors approaching for cakes and other stuff all was good. Food tasted great just the little things. Will try again some time if I’m...
Read moreMy first visit months ago, I had given Blue Moon Restaurant a five-star rating. I have since deleted that review because of my recent visited to the restaurant on 8/2/2024 and my opinion and rating has dramatically changed. For starters, I had to wait outside for a table. The entrance door has multiple signs except a sign with instructions if one has to wait for a table. Little did I know that you have to go inside and give them your name, meanwhile you wait outside in the heat. After I complained when the waitress was allowing a group of ladies that arrived way after me, go in first, was I allowed to go in and sit at a table. BTW, parking is bad! I ordered their special carne asada plate. I started to indulge into the carne asada with my fork when I noticed a long thin 10" hair on my fork. I immediately put the hair on my napkin and called the waitress to show her what I just pulled out of the carne asada. She quickly apologized and took the napkin and plate back to the kitchen. She asked me if I wanted to order something else, and again apologized. I should have left but decided to try a picadillo plate instead. My digestive system and appetite weren't the same after pulling that hair out of the carne asada. I attempted anyway to dig into the picadillo always looking closely if there would be another hair in the food. I thought at the minimum that I wouldn't be charged for the food because of the hair but to my surprise they charged me the full price for the picadillo plate. Bottom line I will never go back again. Unfortunately, this is...
