Mom's Food Store — Local services in San Antonio

Local hangout most likely and for that it gets some kudos. However, as a visitor from out of town, it was a gas station type inventory and with much higher prices than needed. Bag of chips, energy drink, and a water bottle was $11. I didn't argue as I chose to walk in, but not a place I will go again.

I am most disappointed because "Mom's Food Store" gave me such hope of it being a food store (it wasn't really) and that there would be a little more caring / nurturing feel of the place like when visiting mom.

Place wasn't super clean, or at least didnt seem to be. I didnt stick around with a white glove or anything.

I'm sure that if you're local you will know if this is good or bad. However, if you are an outsider, it is likely worth driving another few minutes up the road for somewhere else. The money you save will more than cover the cost of...

I didn't get off I actually picked up someone who had car issues and she lived right next door to the store..when I pulled up there was a loiter outside and it was a little scary looking for me to want to get off ..lol but all in all my friend got what she needed we all...

Great small place,only reason why its 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the bad neighborhood but the customer service is great, great friendly staff and protective if a trouble maker is nearby....
