Taqueria Arandas — Restaurant in San Antonio

It’s a very family friendly place to go to it’s always very busy I’ve been going thru drive thru and it’s a pretty long wait and I think they are very busy lately because I’ve gotten my order wrong more than three times now in a row and when I finally decided to call and tell them they forgot my meal in our order the waitress just tell me “its very busy I’m sorry but you can come back” she just left me waiting on the phone and I could hear her just talking and never picked up her phone and I wanted to tell her that this is the third time my order has been missing food or they give you something you didn’t order like they don’t know what we are saying. I’m not trying to be rude but it’s really hard to talk to the waitresses because they really don’t understand English very well and they just say “oh ok drive up” when I haven’t even finished ordering yet it’s confusing and annoying that they cannot speak or understand English. I talked to them in Spanish but they still didn’t understand what I said I guess and just gave me my food and charged me but before I left I asked her if she had put two quesadillas de asada and she responded with a yes. And closed the window and left so I figured it was there. I was so mad because when I got home my wife which is the one who was waiting for her quesadillas were not there. So she was left hungry and upset. The other times they got out orders wrong they put wrong meals and that was very disappointing again. I guess if we choose to go back we BETTER stop and check our order before we drive off because to be having to go back to get the order right after we just got home ready to eat and the order is not correct or not complete is a total waste of time and gas. The Food is great and we just chose to go here because it’s the closest Mexican restaurant around the area that we like. I’m not going to lie, It has delicious meals that are price friendly. But the Service is really not that great they need to hire people who can try to learn some English, at least the food names and not rush you while you’re ordering would be nice. Just cuz she’s busy doesn’t mean she’s allowed to make mistakes continuously and then we have to fix them after we leave. Not fair at all just saying. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD before you drive home. I’m sure most folks do it but I didn’t, expecting that they were doing their job correctly. So I’m just letting you guys know that it’s a very good place to eat but hopefully you get a good waitress who will listen and give you great service. I wasn’t lucky enough and we just keep going for the delicious food. If only they would give us the correct meals I would have given you guys five stars. We were in town for my daughters Air Force graduation and wanted some tacos... after looking up places we chose this one... Well worth it... VERY Large sized portions, good delicious authentic food that came out so fast, service was Great, tasty salsa, the only issue if I had to find something would be that they don't seve alcohol and I was hoping for a Michelada or Margarita, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. The atmosphere was a little bit of a dive, but we weren't looking for fine dining so that wasn't really a big deal. Well worth it to try their FRESH homemade corn tortillas, large street tacos, and Parradillo (meat platter steak, shrimp, chicken, suasage, like fajita style) beans, rice, quac, sizzing hot for only 13.99! Can't find that deal back home in Cali... Overall, I'd highly recommend for quality food enough that we had left overs for breakfast.

I used to go every other day to get tacos for my mom and every Sunday for the entire family and i'd go for the lunch specials frequently with my friends and for dinner with family but they started messing up my sunday taco order's when I'd order tacos on Sunday's the waitress didn't want to admit she messed up my order's I'd ask her to repeat my order she did and at times she didn't and I lived a far long distance from there so to check about 20 tacos every time I had ordered before I'd leave would check but its time consuming to check every taco and quite a few i had times some up to 3 tacos missing or I'd ask for cheese on some tacos or avocado and they'd forget to add yet still charge me for it, and give you very little salsa like 4 for 20 tacos and they know your gonna ask them for more salsa so they hand you your order quick and shut the window quick and turn their faces and walk away they pretend they don't see you and walk away quickly! Once I was accused of lying about the tacos missing and that really made me upset I took all the darn tacos back and asked for my money back and never came back I felt insulted and offended that they would think I was trying to get free tacos that's B.S.😡 the older man who takes the order by phone is always rushing your order and always gets it wrong or missing you ask him to repeat it and he gets fustrated.. He is the one who accused me of trying to get free tacos! Wow, seriously?!.. I don't need no darn free tacos he is the only one who...
