I have never been to see a EN&T Dr. in my life. I had an ear infection that needed a specialist and I was referred to the good Dr’s at ENT clinics of San Antonio by the people at CareNow off of De Zavala road. I went to their facility at Brooks Base 3 times. First, to get an assessment of what was wrong inside my ear by Dr. Newman who was very professional and cordial. He recommended some ear drops and to come back in several days to see a Dr. Ruiz. My second visit I met Dr. Ruiz who was as equally professional and cordial along with his assistant Alissa. What I can tell you is if you are squeamish about someone going inside your ear with instruments rest assured Dr. Ruiz took every precaution to allay any of my fears and make the inside of my ear whole again. I had an abscess of some sort and he was kind, assuring, professional and who took a great interest in you as his patient. He executed a warm and friendly demeanor along with a sense of humor that you don’t see very often in Dr’s. offices. My third visit was to see Dr. Ruiz for a final assessment. Everything was healing fine and he even took the extra step to get it checked out at a lab and it came back benign. I’m as clean as a whistle thanks to Dr. Ruiz and Alissa. I highly recommend ENT clinics of San Antonio. Their facility at Brooks Base is well staffed, modern looking, attended with friendly personnel and Dr’s who can take care of you. Thank goodness I was referred to the Best ENT clinic in San Antonio and got taken care by a team of...
Read moreWorst ENT I've ever been to. The staff is incompetent in relaying information to and from patients. Never recieved any prescriptions that were said to have been sent to my pharmacy a week ago. Was told I needed an allergy test so why didnt they just tell me that last week when I was there?! I cannot reschedule because my job needs two weeks in advance and everytime I try to call no one answers, or you close at 5 which I can't help because I get off at 5 every day. So now I have to wait till my follow up in March for an allergy test I could've taken last week. I could've scheduled sooner if that was the case. The doctors are rude and literally useless because all my life I've been told "It's just allergies ". I don't think being unable to function due to ear pain and SEVERE reoccuring head pressure are just allergies. Not to mention all of the other health issues I suffer from on a daily basis. You should really let your doctors know that they should take their patients seriously when they raise concerns with them instead of dismissing everything they say with oh you have allergies. I didn't need to spend two hours in a waiting room for you to come in for 10 minutes just to tell me something I have already known my entire life. I am a suffering 24 year old. Just because I look young doesn't mean you can just dismiss everything I say. Tired of never being heard and continously suffering because other people don't know how to do their jobs. Give me answers...
Read moreThis clinic is unprofessional. I booked an appointment to be treated for sleep apnea in May. Here is a timeline of the events. After my initial office visit and being told I needed to have a sleep study performed, I ultimately made my own appointment at the sleep study clinic they were supposedly setting up for me. (This study, I discovered, was a waste of my personal money of $400. They did not take my insurance. And it was never used except to be able to bill more to the patient.) Then nearly SIX WEEKS after my initial visit, I was called in to find out my results. I was told I had sleep apnea. Finally the nightmare of ordering of the medical equipment began. I was informed that I would possibly receive a CPAP machine in August. This was nearly 3 months after making my initial appointment. After a week of sleepless nights and frustration with their staff and their recommended supplier's inadequacy and being informed by the doctor that my apnea was bad enough to cause heart problems, blood pressure issues and possibly stroke, I contacted a local medical supplier and purchased a CPAP machine that same day. Now FIVE MONTHS after my initial visit, I am being billed because a doctor in the same clinic read my report and apparently told my physician that the report said I had sleep apnea. Any person suffering from sleep apnea should be wary of using this clinic as a resource. This type of practice is the cause for high medical insurance and...
