ZOJAH Burger — Restaurant in San Antonio

Edit: (I didn't mention the burger earlier as I didn't try it yet, but now that I did... that burger??? 10/10. It was juicy for a smash burger, and the sauce complimented the patty really well.)

We were greeted by the friendly staff to start off with. We purchased 3 items for a total of $37.29; one burger, a chicken sandwich combo, and a chicken bite combo. The bun itself came a little soggy for the chicken sandwich and it was smaller than the chicken "patty" itself by half, so it was a little hard to handle when eating.

We also ordered to-go, so the bun being floppy could have entirely been because of the drive home. The chicken itself was flavorful, and could definitely just be enjoyed as a filet. Tasty. The fries, which are cooked in beef tallow, were nice and crispy. The only problem was that it was a little too much salt on the fries. The chicken bites were also pretty juicy.

Even as we were waiting for our order, which was only about 10 minutes, the owner greeted us and shared a meaningful background of the store. Overall, I have high hopes for Zojah Burger, and I believe that they are able to build an amazing food joint with the reviews they receive. I will be...

First of all let me say, I live right down the road and I was so excited for a new burger spot to open in the area. I absolutely LOVE all types of burgers. Anyways… I ordered the zojah double with fries. My burger was half on and half off. The onions that I requested were only added on one little spot versus the entire burger. The tomato was so small for the burger it seemed like no point to even add it. The thinnest slice of lettuce and I must say it lots of parts of it look like it was old and sitting out all day. And then to talk about the fries, why am I getting cheap freezer fries? At least I could’ve got all good sized ones but ended up getting just the tiny pieces from the bottom of the bunch. It’s sad that I was actually extremely disappointed. I REALLY wanted to like this new spot. And for them to have just opened a few days ago … well my expectations were high. This new smash burger place is a must-try for burger lovers! We got the jalapeño double smash, zojah smash, and grilled cheese. The burgers are packed with flavor, and the crispy crinkle-cut fries cooked in beef tallow are perfection. Service was fast and friendly, making for an easy, enjoyable meal. While there’s no separate kids menu, they do offer options like grilled cheese, an 8-count of chicken bites, or a regular smash burger — great choices for younger kids. It was clean inside and restrooms were clean and smelled nice. Overall, a delicious new spot that’s definitely worth a visit!
