Valvoline Instant Oil Change — Local services in San Antonio

I received two discount coupons from Valvoline through email. One was for a gear oil change and one for motor oil change. I went to the Culebra location on October 19th. To my dismay, they didn't have gear oil, and they told me to bring my own oil. Really? I bought the gear oil from Walmart. Glan informed me that Walmart gear oil was not acceptable and that he would not put it in. I told him that I had received an email for a discounted oil and gear oil change and that is why I came. He told me that he did not care and that the emails were not from his shop, but from corporate and that he would not be giving me a discount. I have been coming to this location for over 10 years, but thanks to Glan and his extreme incompetence and disrespect, and more importantly, his refusal to honor my valid discounts from Valvoline, I will not be returning. I am very disappointed by Glan and his unprofessionalism. Valvoline, when you had adults working there, it was a pleasant experience. Now, that you are having teenagers run your store, it is an unpleasant experience. Do better, Valvoline. Don't disrepect...

Be warned!!! I went for an oil change, air filter replacement,,and my car didn’t start after the oil change,, mgr Andrew refuses to fix !! Left me with No Car,, my Whole life changed!! For the worse!They refuse to fix there mistakes and The Corporate office or GM never attempted to contact me !! Gave me a “Sorry! “ I filed a claim! And I was called on a line with a phone rep and Andrew the Mgr that was not there at the time of service and and was told they were not at fault! In my opinion because I’m not a mechanic they possibly over filled the oil or left off a part, there were young boys working at the time and another mgr having trouble with the air filter replacement, I was told by Andrew I could take it to get repaired and they would pay he suggested “Casias” i took it to the dealer and the dealer said codes are all going off and they need to get into the engine $1500 in labor alone! + plus repairs +$75 plus the towing when I got stranded when it finally stopped working !!...

I went in for an oil change. I opted to get the radiator service as recommended by the service advisor. Before I left the advisor told me that my 3rd brake light bulb was out, but that they couldn't replace it there as they were lacking the correct socket extension. I stopped in at a mechanics shop immediately after to get the bulb replaced. The mechanic told me(and showed me) that my coolant was leaking, my radiator cap was missing, and my radiator itself was cracked. I had the radiator replaced for $849. I went back to VIOC and told them what happened. The manager refused to reimburse me for the cost of repairing the damage his techs did to my vehicle. He showed me that there is fine print on the back of the receipt that states that VIOC will not pay for repairing damage they have done to your vehicle unless they have AUTHORIZED the repair.
