Friday,, November 4, 2022 @8pm Ordered 2 bowls, 2 brc burritos, and a cheese quesadilla. My conclusion from before is now worse. The BRC Burrito is about half the size it used to be. The quesadilla your better off taking a pan put tacos to heat up and add your own cheese. The bowls chicken portion remains small and had a lot of what my wife calls cueros. Tomorrow I'll be getting the order corrected as I called tonight about it. However, this may be officially the last time we order from El Pollo Loco. Overly priced meanwhile quality and quantity has dwindled. Too many restaurants around
Friday, August 26, 2022 @7:32pm Cost of bowls are increasing meanwhile the portions of the bowl is decreasing. As many times as I'd like to give El Pollo Loco chances to redeem themselves it just gets worse and worse.

They closed early? Google says they close at 11pm and even their website says they close at 11pm. Very misleading.

There is starting to become an odd trend that I'm not liking. It seems the last 3 visits including tonight's there was no corn in the Grande Avocado Bowl which advertises with Sweet Corn in it. I decided to ask the gentlemen over the counter that if the bowl came with corn. I was informed that they don't have corn and they won't have any till next day. This has been 3 times in a row that this has happened and makes no sense to charge full price for a bowl if one of the key ingredients that differentiates itself from other bowls is the Sweet Corn. Its no longer acceptable. At 9pm this happens each time and they don't close till 11pm. Someone needs to do an audit of why there is no corn left everytime 2+ hours before close. Again, Im unsure why they keep coming short but its a trend where I'll stop buying from this establishment and go elsewhere yes just cause of an ingredient. Its feeling like false advertising now.
A year ago: Time spent in drive thru was 20+ minutes. Waiting at the speaker to order was at least 6 to 8 minutes. Food quality 9/10. I ordered a kids meal of mac n cheese chicken taco with mash potato. Daughter (loved it and she is generally picky with chicken. Bought a grande double chicken bowl and a regular chicken grande bowl (I believe we're the name). They forgot to put sour cream on the regular chicken grande bowl but the taste of food when mixed didn't need the sour cream. Bought also a BRC Burrito which used to be my favorite in a different city I grew up in. Even now the BRC Burrito tastes exactly as before so very consistent. Food quality was overall great for first visit to this Pollo Loco that I would recommend trying it. Hopefully it remains consistent as the price is overall decent for the amount of food...
Read moreUpdate 03/23/'21 I recieved a response from this particular franchise owner (Culebra location) and the good news is it's under new management. We've yet to add EPL to our take out menu but rest assured we'll continue to order from EPL because they do serve delicious food. So I'm adding 2 ☆s to the previous 2 on acct of the positive response from Angel Lopez. I thank you and can say my family and I are looking forward to our next order from your franchise.
Wednesday 02/24 6PM. Normally we're a big fan of Pollo Loco's Marinated Chicken so this review pertains to this location only because it's the first time we order from here in hope it never happens to anyone else. Simply put, management should be confident in knowing their grill cooks are seasoned enough to serve chicken no later than it's peak condition. Sure there are few whom like the crispy edges of their tasty chicken including myself, but to serve chicken 25% overly cooked is uncalled for. If they truly want to make a sale, match that portion of overcooked chicken with an equal portion in the very exact condition but if the chicken is worse than 25% of doneness it should qualify as a loss. Moist fresh juicy grilled to perfection should always be the ultimate goal regardless. One last thing, make sure your customer's online order or in person is followed to the "T". There's nothing worse for a customer to rely on placing an order, pay for it only to later find out their order is incomplete. Specially on...
Read moreFood is usually pretty good. The big delay is the wait. I ordered a 16 piece family chicken with 3 sides. It was supposed to be ready by 5:30 curbside. I called when I arrived no one answeded. I waited a few minute called again, no answer. After continusall calling for 15 minutes and no answers I went in side. I told them i had a curbside order i was waiting for. They looked at me like they had no idea what i was taking. They were all over the place looking for the order, they couldnt find it. They couldn't even find the receipt. They then asked if I could show proof of purchase, which I did. I asked them to just remake the order so i can go. It was all ready after 6pm for an order that was supposed to be ready by 5:30pm. I asked to speak to a manager to see what the hold up was, but they said he wasn't there. After 10 minutes of looking for the receipt, they asked, to view my receipt again. Then all of a sudden a manager pops out of the back and ask me if i had been helped. I told him a few words and asked if they could just make my order so i could leave. It was 6:20 pm when i walked out of the store with my food. I'm a very patient person, this doesn't make me go crazy like some people its just a big...
