The Garcia Center for the Arts — Local services in San Bernardino

I recant. They didn’t know what Digital Arts was and were super unfriendly to artists. It’s named after this super conservative former Chicano grant writing professor from The local state college but he’s not quite decolonized and invited me to a super Christian posada for Xmas. I was talking about queer futurity from studying with Nao Bustamante and Jose Esteban Munoz, and let’s just say the discourse outraged “the conservative” founder and his wife running me out of town. I won a Christmas tree pre-lit at the raffle and tons of food which I gave back to the community, stating I’m blessed with food but I do love this tree. This community center supports artists to explore and grow their talents. Young people exposed their paints and other artisan works on March/30/24. The staff is very attentive and the director of the center very kind and supportive. They have a beautiful garden and a spacious place where they hold events. They also have an art store where you can find beautiful handcrafts and paints made by the students from the same center. I teach capoeira on Saturday mornings at 11am there, and I’ve seen so many cool events and classes take place there in the past two years.
