terribly sad i witnessed @ the gift shop in Julian an old American Vet. get turned down for the restroom that i personally mopped and cleaned dried disinfected after buying an 80$ stick in support of Wolves by the other volunteer training me under some fictional Covid rule she mentioned in a whisper people are dirty anyway.. Not sure if anything will be done about it? very distasteful. Well, I start by saying I've never been to the california wolf center, but would love to go someday. Okay now the review....we entered and were immediately greeted by an employee. She told us about the organization and about a 15 minute film they were showing in the back. It was a documentary, interesting, but I would have preferred a film about their organization. The store is small, but has a lot of things mostly wolf stuff, some bear stuff, and domestic pet. You can find items ranging from 3 dollars to 300. In conclusion, this store is nice,but BUT is limited in selection. I would like to see key chains, blankets, and shirts or sweaters of WOLVES. Not their logo only. This unique nature center/store has a tremendous variety of nature (and of course wolf) items!! All proceeds go to Julian Nature Conservation efforts! There's inexpensive items (gifts,gifts,, hand-made crafts... allll the way up to STUNNING sculptures, paintings and other quality art. There's an education room where you can study animal skulls and view nature media. The empyees are very helpful, kind and knowledgeable.
