Have came here multiple times. Unfortunately returns are for store credit only. Who’s going to buy a used overpriced washing machine for $400 and figure out it doesn’t work and then want to spend the $400 in store credit only? All the electronics they say are tested but a nice couple I know bought a tv there and would overheat after a few minute because not very extensive tests were done on the items and then again stuck with a $50-100 store credit again… Lots of broken items. Lots of eBay priced items, whoever is doing the pricing is insane! Just go to the goodwill next door. Abby a manager also tried to help me with an item, a chair with bent feet on the bottom. (I simply asked if they could bend the wheeled legs back as I did not want to do it myself for the liability of breaking the chair if I did it myself) however answer was a stern NO, then asked if I still wanted it, and I replied I would not want to buy a broken chair that they probably shouldn’t even be selling. And then they immediately put the broken chair back out for sale! No disclaimer about any bent feet to the next prospective buyer. Never got a straight answer as to how their for-profit/non-profit works, not very many details about it on their website? Not sure how legit it is, at least goodwill has detailed documents as to how donations and money from them will be used toward a real non-profit. Overall weird looks and negative vibes from this place. I miss the nice little market that used to be their and would have rather had that survive through covid instead. UPDATE: the chair is still there, same price and same bent wheels on it and looked even more...
Read moreI went into this thrift store next to good will and I always only shop for collard shirts at thrift stores. I go to the mens isle and see a few polo Ralph Lauren shirts and a Kenneth Cole shirt. I check if the Ralph Lauren shirts were real by checking if there is an R symbol and there wasn’t and I called out the store on it and they agreed, but I was still nice enough to buy the Kenneth Cole shirt and I put polos back. I asked if they had a fitting room and they said, “no, but you can return the item within 5 days”. I go home and it doesn’t fit but I lost the receipt. I come back the next day and told the guy I met the day prior that I would like to return the shirt because it doesn’t fit and he agreed. So he goes back to tell the owner and the owner said I can’t return it without the receipt even though he saw me the day before and acknowledged me when I walked in and showed the bank transaction. What a greedy business. They can’t return an item they got for free and they are charging $23 for a fake polo Ralph Lauren shirt that they acquired for free through hand me downs from people. Pure greed. Don’t put your items in their donation box, rather put it in good wills please (right next to their business). Your beloved items will go to a better cause if you donate to the goodwill next door, instead of greedy business charging an arm and a leg. Please...
Read moreEvery time I go there I feel judged and unwanted by the staff. Maybe it’s because I’m Mexican. I have been there many times thinking the pricing will be better. But I’m always disappointed. The prices are completely ridiculous. I saw one of their responses to someone’s comment here, they said they price was their items at fair market price. Are they trying to insult our intelligence? I literally saw them selling used beer bottles for like 2 or 3 dollars each. You can get new ones with an actual drink for the same price!!!! My husband bought two pairs of shoes there for like $40 each. They were really nice and leather so we thought we would give them a chance. He wore one of the shoes for one day, and the glue they had used to make a quick repair came undone. The whole bottom of the shoe started talking. We went back within the same week to return them, and they refused. They said since he had used them they could not refund or give store credit. The second pair had the heel break after a month of usage. So we pretty much threw away $80. With this economy it’s difficult to get by, and throwing away $80 is food for my family for a week. How can they live with themselves? Anyway, if you don’t care about durability and pricing, then give them a try. Otherwise steer clear of this place. Zero...
