The staff up front were very nice, and the water is nice and clean, but they have unrealistic requirements for the kd's swim test. They make them swim freestyle and require virtually perfect form. Seems odd, I saw a dozen kids swim 25 feet no problem, but they didn't pass because they looked forward once or twice instead of to the side. They were water safe, just not "pretty style". Also, the guards were yelling constantly to walk. If they had bull horns or one more staff member moved from the entrance and positioned under the slide, guests wouldn't have to hear the yelling non stop. The staff is here, just need to be repositioned.

Read moreGrimy. The pool water clarity left a lot to be desired, and the bottom was stained with rust and mold. There were spots where the gunite was broken away and rust bloomed out. Good lane lines and gutters, and only one or two people per lane at 11:00 AM. But it is only shortcourse. The bathrooms were dingy, and there are no lockers. Obviously cheaper than membership clubs, and within bicycle distance from my house. But I'm retired military, so having tried this once I'll continue to make the drive to well maintained facilities at MCAS Miramar or NAS...
Read moreDecent city pool with nice zero depth gradual entrance for kids. Salt water, could have been a couple degrees warmer. Now that pandemic is over, finally we can do normal things. Sad to see the pool needs a ton of repairs. Floor of pool crumbling. *Note: the kids play area with slides and fountains you see in photos is CLOSED AND BROKEN! So don’t get your hopes up before going. Water slides are fun and fast. Hope they expand their hours to more reasonable times. Closing at 330 pm is ridiculous. Overall, worth the $4 for adults and $2...
