Read moreI made an appointment a week in advance at the earliest time available because I wanted to make sure I would be done by a certain time. I was there for about two hours for a gel manicure and pedicure. The only reason why I wanted to try a new place is because i felt like i needed more color options (silly I know, but my usual nail spot doesn’t have a lot of nude colors) The lady brought me two rows of nail colors to choose from (at this point I knew their color options were even worse than my usual place) but that’s ok I picked my regular color. As I was sitting i noticed a color on the display wall and asked to see it but they couldn’t quite get it so the lady comes and in a flustered manner tells me “get up and get it” that’s fine I was still smiling and I wasn’t even upset. At this point everyone is busy and no one is doing my manicure. They’re willing to take every walk-in so even if you have an appointment and a manicurist is available, they will take the walk-ins and you have to wait EVEN IF YOU HAD AN APPT. A walk-in comes in for both a manicure and pedicure and they take her. They start doing her manicure and pedicure at the same time while I had an appointment and I was still waiting for someone to start on my manicure (I don’t want to imply that this was because the walk-in was white and Im not, but it very much felt this way). I asked if they knew I was waiting for my manicure and they said yes. Finally someone becomes available so my pedicurist quickly rushes and says “ok done” and the manicurist told me to “sit over there” the way they talk to their customers is very rude. The manicurist grabs my hands and fingers very aggressively and at some point she cuts my index finger. She was very rough and it was all very awkward. Mind you they don’t put any of their tools in barbicide. She kept pulling her nail tools from the drawer and they all had cuticles on them until she found one that didn’t so she used that one. My usual nail place keeps nail tools in a clear plastic bag individually after they are disinfected with barbicide. I was so frustrated. The whole experience was horrible to the point I feel better writing this because I had been bottling up my frustration. A manicure and pedicure are supposed to be relaxing experiences for the client not the opposite. I will never be back. If you value your time and hard earn money, please save yourself from possibly having the worst and dirtiest...
Read moreI found this place on yelp and called in on my way home from work. I was so happy when Lauren was able to squeeze me in right away for an appointment! I haven't gotten my nails done in months due to COVID and have been a little apprehensive going anywhere public. I arrived and Lauren was there to greet me/check me in. She takes your temperature, you sanitize your hands, fill out a form, and sanitize again. There is plenty of room for social distancing and all stations have plexiglass barriers between you and the technician.
Amy was my technician and she was AMAZING! I've been getting my nails done for years and she is truly the best one I've ever had. She has been doing nails for over 17 years and is a true artist! Also, very friendly and nice to talk with :)
Everyone was so nice! From the time I called in to book my appointment till the time I left, the service was fantastic! Definitely will be going back here as I've found my new favorite nail salon in San Diego. Support this nail salon and...
