San Diego Charter — Local services in San Diego

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. We recently rented three of their vehicles for an event. We had their 52 passenger charter. We had multiple complaints from guests saying that the driver was very rude telling them that they better be on the bus 15 minutes before the wedding ended. On the way their the driver decided to take back roads and drove very erratically causing one of our guests to bump his lip and head against the seat. VERY UNSAFE. In addition they will take strange routes and more time than needed NOT taking into account the actual time it takes to get to your destination on the original quotes thereby charging overtime. On our second vehicle they took a roundabout way and on the larger vehicle they did the same. Google maps says 55minutes and it took us about an hour and a half. The drive came up to me saying sign this and tried telling me we owed overtime. I tried calling the company who on the phone said they were sorry and would try and make amends but I did not hear a single word from them. I used San Diego Charter, Inc. for my wedding. We wanted to provide a transportation option for guests staying in Oceanside and travelling to our venue, The San Diego Safari Park in Escondido, about a 45-50 minute drive.

I got in touch with Brock via my wedding planner Tara, who referred us to them. It was easy to book the contract. I requested a 20-person bus. The price was super affordable (I was quoted double from another transportation company). He was even happy to provide me a 40-person that day.

The driver, Eric, was super attentive, and made sure to stay in touch with me so we got all our guests from 4 different pickups, and they all got back on the bus at the end of the night.

Worst service ever! We paid a lot of $ to rent this bus for my daughter’s wedding this weekend. Signed a contract. Every hour beyond 10PM was to be $200. The driver did not follow through with the contracted plan. Our final destination was in the contract. He took every one back to the hotel at 9:45 & said we had to get off, bus was rented. After 30 mins of wasted time, arguing the contract with the driver, he agreed to take us, however he took us to the wrong address. He then proceeded to take us to the correct location, however he drove fast & dangerous. This part of the ride took 45 mins. This company then charged our CC $400 more, when clearly it is the wrong doing of the driver. We took an Uber back to the hotel from the final destination & it took 10 mins.
