Had two appointments now and both were disappointing.
The first, I booked appointments for me and my bridesmaids a few days in advance for my bridal shower (3 of us total). I spent HOURS looking up places in the area who did nail design I liked, as I wanted an occasion to trial a design for my wedding, and confirmed multiple times my appt included design. they started on my bridesmaids (with less services - one pedicure only, one manicure only) before me, and I waited about an hour before they began my pedicure and another 30 minutes before the nails. By then, there wasn’t enough time to do a nail design for me, though my bridesmaid was able to get a really beautiful design. My solid color manicure did last 3-4 weeks, though my bridesmaids gel lasted only 2 weeks before coming off.
Wound up trying one more time before my bachelorette party. I booked appointment for just me, same day, and once again waited 45 minutes for them to start pedicure and 1 hour for nails. Once manicure started they told me they did not have enough time to do design, though I requested it in my appt. Told them i was disappointed as it was second time I had come in to try and trial the design for my wedding, and I planned to have it for my bachelorette party. Told me to come back in a week (after my bachelorette party). I have no desire to go back for another multiple hour appt, and then pay for nails for no occasion, when I had timed the trials for my bachelorette and bridal shower. The gel (solid color) from this manicure didn’t last a full week before chipping. Have 3 chipped nails after 8 days. This has never happened to me for gel before.

Read moreUpdate: They have reached out to me and I got them redone/fixed with them and Nina did an amazing job. I got my nails done here about 5–7 days ago, and within just a few days, one nail completely fell off and few days after that another one fell off, something that has never happened to me before in all the years I’ve been getting my nails done. Now, several other nails, especially the ones with tips(4 of my nails were broken s she had to put tip), are lifting at the corners, which is not okay. Water can get underneath and potentially lead to fungal issues. What’s even more frustrating is that during the appointment, the nails with a tip looked completely off, the tip was way too wide for my natural nail bed and looked really bad and was not curved downward like my natural nails. The nail tech who was doing my nails couldn’t fix it properly, and multiple other staff members came over to try and help. Eventually, someone else had to redo those nails entirely. That alone should have been a red flag. I had booked the appointment specifically with the same nail tech I saw last time because she did an amazing job. But when I arrived, I was told she wasn’t working that day, and no one had called to let me know ahead of time which was frustrating. I wouldn’t have driven 16–20 miles if I had known she wasn’t going to be there. I only returned to this salon because of her. Had I known, I would’ve just gone to a place near my home. I’m honestly so disappointed. I paid over $80, and the nails didn’t even last a week. Read moreI've been searching for a nail salon for a while now and decided that Twinkle Nails was worth a visit based on all the reviews. Let me tell you, the reviews are real and they do not disappoint. Aside from the basic customer service of being welcomed upon entry and a complimentary water, I got some of the best coffee I've ever had in my life. Also Complimentary. The salon is cute, clean, and trendy. They have a digital price list so there aren't any suprises, great variety of gel colors to choose from, and luxury massage chairs that don't leave you feeling like you've been physically assaulted. But most importantly...no pushy upselling. Obviously, an upgraded experience was offered but was dismissed the moment I declined. My nails and toes were done simultaneously so I saved plenty of time. Cash, Venmo, and Card Payments are accepted with a cute discount if Venmo is used. The owner and staff are attentive and personable if you care to converse and all the same if you don't. This is officially my new salon!
