Very very nice people but the haircut is horrible. I went in hoping to learn more about my hair texture and how to make my long hair flow better and after showing videos of men with hair as long as mine that flowed better I agreed to her suggestion of layering to bring out my waves. I clarified to not do anything that would take more than a few months to reverse in case I hated it. If I knew any of my hair would be cut anywhere near my chin I would have sprinted out the door. Besides this, the haircut itself is terrible. It’s so choppy, inconsistent, thinned out, and sooo much length was taken at parts where it doesn’t even make sense. Instead of layering that blends together it’s more like a randomizer of hair length for each clump of hair. There’s a weirdly long part that was missed that sticks out at the bottom of my hair. My sideburns aren’t even shaved symmetrical. From my face the “layers” go from pretty long then immediately to chin length and then immediately nose dive to what’s left of my long hair. Kinda got an interesting bob with hair extensions underneath/jellyfish cut look going on with my hair over my shoulders and a cleaved off half my hair at shoulder level on each side look from behind. It’s safe to say my waves do not flow better. The very compassionate owner gave me a refund and offered to try to remedy it so star for that and the cute dog but sadly she can’t give me my hair back. The mental toll can’t be overstated. It will take so so so long to grow back out just trying to reverse it and until then I’m just gonna look incredibly dumb and I could not feel...
Read moreI went in for blonde money pieces and before we started anything I told my hairdresser I did dye my hair black sometime last year. She didn't ask for exactly when last year or even do a strand test she just started bleaching it. After she was all done with it she looked at my hair and told me it hadn't lifted well. She didn't really give me a yellower shade of blonde as an option (which I maybe should have pushed more for) but said "You're options now are to do light purple or grey" I didn't go in wanting either but I just settled for purple since it would be easier to fade out. She starts applying the color and it turns blue in some parts so she says she'll add pink to fix it but after she blow drys it is still blue and now pink in spots. I just paid and left because I didn't wanna take up more of her time. But when I got home and texted her I was unhappy with the patchiness and the color she said it wasn't her fault and refused to give me a partial refund. When I agreed to the purple I expected it to just be the purple not blue and pink and that is why I wanted a partial refund. I think the way she handled herself was very unprofessional and is the quickest way to lose a...
Read moreI've been meaning to write this review for quite some time now. I absolutely love this hair salon, they play the best music and everything about it is chefs kiss for alternative peeps. I felt super welcomed and true sense of belonging.
I reached out to Patricia and she was SUPER flexible. She let me schedule my appointment around the time I get off work which is actually when their salon closes. The whole time I felt like I was hanging out with a friend (which I hope she considers me a friend now lol), she's so kind and extremely accommodating, snacks on deck and drinks. We completely pivoted the hair plan half way in when we realized my black box hair dye wasn't lifting, no surprise there. She was so quick to take to our new plan and didn't mind at all, she didn't even charge me for the attempt to lighten. I'M TELLING YOU she is seriously the bomb diggity. Patricia is an amazing colorist and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. Fair pricing and overall an amazing experience, not to mention the endless compliments I've been receiving.
Do yourself a favor and book an appointment...
