give me beer, games, and the flattery of being hit on by a couple of swingers and i call this a winner in my book.
we came to triple crown on a lazy weekend afternoon. i love bars that have other forms of entertainment than the standard drunk people watching, and this place has it ALL: shuffleboard, table tennis, darts, pool, foosball...so much fun to be had. there are two table tennis sets (outside patio across from darts boards, and inside 2nd room where the pool tables are). thats where you found me. did i win?? debatable. i get a little too crazy sometimes and the kind gentleman at the pool table had to help us out. which is why i was stoked when the outside neighboring table freed up as its more self contained. but then the darts players had to help out...
and thats where the swingery came into play. i dont think ive ever been summoned via "hey pretty lady" by a female before. well hello there :') and then the dude came over and started playing ping pong with me when my friend went to the bathroom. there was all sorts of cruising going on. so my question is -- is that a regular thing at triple crown? is that where the TRIPLE comes into play?? O_o
They also grill food up outside on the patio...didnt partake but it...
Read moreBe aware: there’s apparently a policy that everyone who enters must buy something. Had some friends accompany me who were not going to drink and just wanted to be included in the hangout and they were made very uncomfortable for not getting anything. We ended up leaving because of the weird atmosphere that was created. Bartender was nice not to charge me for my partially finished drink since friends weren’t buying anything and I was leaving with them. Have had great times at this place previously with one of the friends who happened to choose not to get anything this time. They’re not comfortable coming here again after that and I honestly don’t blame them. It appeared to be a slow night as well which made the attitude all the more baffling. Weird situation this time but like I said, I have had previous good experiences so don’t write the place completely off. If you have people in the group not intending to get anything and just wanting to hang out with the rest of the group, maybe opt to go...

They have tons of great games, like ping pong, real darts, basketball, pool, a full sized shuffle board, and Foosball. Bring your A game for ping pong or you will get destroyed! The players here are pretty great. They will beat you with a friendly smile though.
I wish they had a better draft selection but they mostly make up for it with their bottle offerings. It seems like they've stepped up their wine selection lately which is great, especially considering they don't serve hard alcohol.
A final note: they have a juke box with a huge selection, so you never know what genre your gonna hear unless you choose what to play. I appreciate the randomness this adds to the ambiance, but some people might find it jarring to go from the Beatles to Dr. Dre to Metallica to...
