I based my service as Poor-Fair only because I had stopped in a this Walmart location at an odd hour, around 230a. I was not pleased with the staffing because they had Dr Pepper advertised on sale for $5. a case and they only had one case left. Steve who worked near the soda section, went out of his way to go look in back to see if there was any cases available. There was a manager who passed us in the aisle and asked us what we were waiting for and I told him and he just explained it off. He made it clear, quickly that he was not at all interested in our request or was he gonna help us in any way, he was busy doing other things. So after waiting about 20 minutes, and not getting any kind of resolution, I just could not believe the fact that advertising right in the front of the store as you walk in and only having 1 single case of soda available in the whole store seemed odd. Then I went into the check out lane. They had one cashier, named Tiffany Weston. Just one cashier, it had to be about 315a. I felt good having only 2 people ahead of me, but as I looked behind me there must of been as least 15 people deep waiting in line to check out. Unbelievable! There was Tiffany just as pleasant and friendly doing her check out. I was not really feeling good about my Walmart visit. Til it was my turn at the counter. After meeting Tiffany and having her attention while ringing me up, my whole attitude changed. She was great!! Patient, knowledgeable about the products I was purchasing. Answered all my questions about my needs as a shopper, very professional attitude, and was just not stressing about the increasing line of people waiting to check out, and being the only cashier available. Handled her business, was very positive and just really turned my whole attitude around in the short time she took ringing me up. Thank you Ms Tiffany Weston, for solidifying my return to Walmart as a regular shopper. I was so pleased in your uplifting attitude and astuteness, that I truly left that store in a positive state that I was ready for anything. Hats off to Walmart in whoever hired her, she is a gem to the business. Her attention to detail was unequivocal to anything I've seen in...
Read moreI recently visited Walmart to purchase a computer desk. Before heading to the store, I called to confirm the item was in stock, and was assured that it was. However, when I arrived, I couldn’t locate the desk on the sales floor.
I asked four different employees for assistance, but each one told me they were "too busy" and directed me to someone else. None of them offered to help directly.
I then went to the electronics department, where I found an employee who was actively working. I asked him for help, and he kindly made an announcement over the loudspeaker requesting assistance in the furniture section. After waiting 15 minutes with no response, he repeated the call. I waited another 10 minutes and then decided to call the store's operator again to explain the situation. She assured me that someone would be sent to assist me shortly. After an additional 15 minutes passed and still no one arrived, I decided to look for a manager.
Thankfully, I came across an employee named Samuel. He was assisting another customer at the time, but once he finished, I explained the situation to him. Samuel immediately took the time to help me, searched for the desk himself, and ultimately found it in the back. His assistance was greatly appreciated.
This was, unfortunately, one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had at a Walmart. That said, both the electronics associate and Samuel went above and beyond and deserve recognition. I would give each of them 5 out of 5 stars for their patience and willingness to help. The other employees I interacted with, however, did not meet even basic service expectations.
The desk itself is great, but in the future, I’ll be asking for Samuel by name or requesting a manager directly to avoid...
Read moreI honestly wish I could put negative stars. This Walmart is ghetto and the workers are rude. This Walmart may as well higher small children to run the store, because about 70% of the people they have working there are rude and don’t want to help customers. I stood At the spray paint case today waiting for help. The button they have to call for assistance was broken, and no one works the paint department regularly. I saw 5 workers walking in a group together walk by, and I asked politely if someone could help us or if they could call for assistance. Three of the women employees started laughing and turned around and shouted to a male who was walking farther behind them “ Alex do you have your keys?” I heard Him say yes they laughed and said it’s your lucky day we aren’t important enough to have keys you get to help them.“ He flat out said no. Shook his head and kept saying no “ get Christine to do it” and walked right past us. An older woman who was walking with them stopped and attempted to help us try to find someone else with keys, but at that point i was So mad i left The store. I contacted a manager at the front of the store but I’m not sure anything will ever be done, one of the women who also would t help me stood behind him at the register and smiled and giggled the whole time i tried to tell him what happened. It was so frustrating. I work a blue collar job, I’m not a Karen, i usually make a conscious effort to always treat people with respect, especially those that work customer service however the people I encountered today shouldn’t be employed in a customer service field. The way they acted, belittled me straight to my face, they shouldn’t be employed at all they need to go take a humanitarian class or something. Do...
