Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in San Diego

listen, Im no karen. I understand how customer service works, i worked almost every food restaurants so i get how packed and pressure it is to keep up on all the orders. Me and my husband was in the line, waiting to get our orders and pay at the cashier. We waited for over 20 mins, patiently waiting.then there’s a whole family behind us and more people, we were next to get our orders until there a lady that just clocked in started asking the family BEHIND US for their order and told them to go straight to the cashier and pay????? Then she goes to the people behind them?? COMPLETELY IGNORING THE SHT OUT OF US. I would not mind if she goes back to us and says sorry then get our orders done but NO SHE DID NOT. we were patient and understanding about the situation, instead of complaining right at her face and have them messed up everyone’s order. We left instead of dealing and starting a commotion. But i would like to address this, she might not mean it or there might be her own reason for ignoring us BUT i was personally attacked by it. It’s not like my husband is short, he is 6”3 and i do not understand how she missed him??? I just want that place to know how unprofessional and disrespectful it was. We were there june 1,2024 @11:20am, so now imagine you just want a bagel with your husband/wife, then theres a whole entire family behind you, and another group behind them(approx 10 ppl total) ordering more bagel before you? Oh and did i mentioned we were there first and waited in line first?? Hope you guys have a good day, no hard feelings yeah? I came in from being up all night in the ER and all I wanted was something quick, yummy and comforting in my belly. Boy was this the wrong place to go!

What happenend to the cream cheese?? Where did the delightfully delicious bagels go??!

It used to be the bagels were oozing with a generous serving of cream cheese, but now we’re lucky to get a teaspoon! And my all time favorite jalapeño cheddar was a joke, a miserable little parody of what it once was. I took one bite and immediately regretted going there. I would’ve been much better off going to Vons—their jalapeño cheddar bagels are amazing.

Not only was the tiny dollop of cream cheese barely there, but the bagel was BURNED—and COLD!!! How do you do both??? Don’t get me started on the lack of smiles behind the counter.

How anyone can so royally screw up a bagel to this extent is beyond me.

Bottom line, my expectations did not meet reality, and I was sad. I was expecting a golden cheesy-jalapeño bagel all fluffed up with cream cheese, slightly greasy from the cheddar, a bit messy. But, nope. Dry, charred,...

Sunday Nov 12 around 11am I took my parents to go eat here . It was my first time and theirs as well . First I ordered a smoothie and the cashier told us that they didn’t have the ingredients to make the smoothie I was okay with that . We finally got our food and my dad got up to get himself and my mom hot coffee and it was ice cold . My dad went up to the cashier and asked for warm coffee we even asked if they can just put in a microwave . and she yelled at him saying then there isn’t any . I then got up and said well then why would you charge us for coffee if there isn’t any ? Then another co worker came out and said no worries I’ll make you guys a new one . Then my dad went up to the cashier again and asked for napkins same cashier told my dad there isn’t any . Another customer heard and went to Starbucks to get my dad napkins . I noticed all the tables where really dirty and I noticed the cashier was just standing around talking to her co workers now I really think she could of made a smoothie but she was just...
