One of my most favorite things to do when I travel is to do a guided waking tour. It changes your entire experience of a city when you learn a bit of it's history. We did the SF in one day, five-hour tour, learning about the Gold Rush-era buildings, Nob Hill mansions and palaces, the history of Chinatown, North Beach/Little Italy, the biggest cathedral in the city, and the modern day downtown skyscrapers. We also took an obligatory cable car ride and learned how those came to be! My most favorite part of travel is taking back with me a little bit of the history. Thank you to our very wonderful and funny your guide Britt for taking us on such an adventure!
People, do what the company recommends and dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. Afterall, it is San Francisco and there will always be funny weather and a bit of hill climbing. Was sad to see folks on my tour struggle on a five hour with...

Our tour guide was Britt. He is an incredibly enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable guide, and the tours were all well researched and interesting. His presentation style is engaging and humorous, never boring or dull. I asked him many questions that went beyond his regular presentation content, and he could not only answer them all, but also elaborate on them in depth.
Highly recommended - I can promise you that you will not only learn a lot, but that you also will enjoy yourself doing it! You will also acquire knowledge and learn about many under-the-radar spots and events that most locals don't even know of. Whether a local or a visitor, I can hardly think of way better spent than this...
Read moreWe had a tour with Britt and it was freaking awesome and fun. He has an extensive knowledge of the history of San Francisco and shared some wonderful stories they brought the history to life. My wife and I got lost arriving to the tour and finally joined in about 30 minutes after the fact. Despite our tardiness, Britt would text us while they were walking from one story spot to the next and we were able to find the group. He was helpful and friendly Afterwards he gave out directions, restaurant tips and other fun ideas of things to do in San Fran. Great tour. I highly recommend it. Obviously the tour is free, but he gladly accepts cash / credit cards. I like the "pay what you think it's worth" approach.. You won't regret going on this tour and you won't feel like you...
