No parking lot, good luck finding parking in the neighborhood. Has a good sized play structure for kids. Has 2 baseball fields, sort of, not really, they're pretty small, doesn't have an area for soccer(no nets). Has indoor rock climbing(didn't go into thst building to see more about it). During the time of visit the grass was long and really needed cutting. The primary reason of my visit was for the basketball court and was fairly disappointed given the space, 6 hoops, 2 were for the full court, 4 on sides, very crowded and not enough room to play side hoops if people are playing on the 2 end ones. Playing by yourself or with 1 other is mere impossible, let alone good luck not bumping into smaller kids while playing, the court needs restrictions of some sort. Newly renovated this rec.center has 2 ⚾ softball fields,2 🎾tennis courts full length 🏀 basketball court with 6 glass backboard hoops....clean brand new men's and women's 🚻 bathrooms..rockclinbing wall for all ages and nature all around..falcons coyotes hawks 🐦 of all kind. Playground for the kids. Basically all around the best staff that the Department of Recreation has to offer.10 stars in My honest opinion Go Glen Park Class Act first...
Read moreGlen Canyon Park (about 70 sq. acres) and the adjacent O'Shaughnessy Hollow (nearly 4 acres) offer a very deep and rugged canyon, never developed in any way, hence miles and miles of hiking trails are packed into this otherwise compact area, and one can walk for many hours on end and see no evidence of being in the city of San Francisco--not a building in site! An accessible and surprising treat for birders, wildlife enthusiasts, rock climbers, and hikers. One can see (with the addition of Eucalyptus trees) how San Francisco looked to its first explorers...
