Pretty good compared to all other city pools: it wasn't as crowded, parking was easy, and the staff were super chill and friendly!

Full disclosure this is a pre-covid-19 review on MLK pool this pool is very community oriented the locker rooms are huge however be prepared there are no shower curtains on any of the six showers available for women or men there are many family swim programs as well as child swim programs available and there is also free swim times available to the general public you can get a free pass via your library card if you log into your libraries events or San Francisco library events and bring to children with you for your first visit otherwise prices are very affordable around $7 for adults and $4 for children the pool is very large and very clean however it isn't indoor pool so the smell of chlorine is...
Read moreSaturday adult swimming lessons are terrible. Nathaniel Warren who’s the teacher just walks by the pool heads down looking at his shoes and every now and then smiles at us 3 students. When I shared I‘m trying to improve front free-style and synchronize my breathing, he said nah, you are just fine. Disclaimer, I don’t know when to breath!!! So in the past 3 sessions I ended up sticking with breast strokes which I‘ve been swimming for the past 10 years!
