Growing up as a kid I was raised in a catholic household. However, as I transitioned into my teenage years, I’ve strayed away from God and thought that I could live life on my own terms. Which I did, by going out to the clubs and drinking every single weekend and thought that this was the life. Consequently, I made some bad decisions and it had made me feel empty. And something inside of me wanted to change that but I didn’t know where to start.
I had a work colleague/friend go this church already and was persuading me to go back in 2019, but I was stuck at work on Sundays. However, God’s timing is so good! I ran into him again in 2022, and our now church friends at the bar I would usually frequent, and seeing the community and them opening up their doors for a complete stranger (aka me), really compelled me to go in for my first service, despite of me not wanting to go because I was scared of how I was going to start anew. But let me tell you, it was one of my best church services. It just felt refreshing and fulfilling to be in that room that day, and I haven’t stopped going to one service ever since.
The amazing word that is given every single Sunday, the community inside of this house, the warm and friendly personalities, and the ambiance inside of this place is truly beyond this world! It makes you want to come back for more! And Pastor Britni is truly a gem! She really goes out of her way to reach out to her community and makes every effort to include everyone in this church and help those that are struggling in their walk of finding God in their lives. I was a non believer back in the day, but now I can say that my faith has grown a lot in this past year and it’s all thanks to Him and to this amazing community. And being able to serve in this House and devoting my life to God again, feels much more fulfilling than going out on a Friday night and getting plastered. You can definitely find life long and meaningful connections in this place and go into your walk of finding God in your life with people who truly care for...

Read moreSince June 2018 through all the seasons I have had since moving to San Francisco, this church Vive San Francisco, has been home, community, friendship, growth, challenge, hospitality, worship, and everything that draws me closer in my relationship to God!
The people are welcoming, real, and passionate, and some of the funniest I know, the music moves me into the presence of God, the sermons challenge me and drive me so deep in the Word, and the food and conversation keep me long after service ends!
And how we have community all in the week, with home groups(bible studies), hiking groups, birthday parties, women’s and men’s gatherings, and opportunities to volunteer and pray together, keep me so rooted in this transient city.
