Ann Taylor — Local services in San Jose

I shopped at this branch last Friday. The staff over there are very rude and unprofessional. I understand that no food & no drink inside the store so that I’ve been holding my drink on my hand and never have a sip of my beverage throughout my entire shopping inside. An Asian staff talked to me rudely, “ It’s not allowed to drink. You should know about this…” I replied, “I know. I didn’t.” She didn’t even look at me and keep repeating what she said for a while. She complained about what the customer did wrong instead of directing me what to do. Later, I was trying the clothes inside the fitting room. I heard the same voice asked, “Is everything alright.” Many people in the fitting rooms. I am not sure who she talked to so I didn’t respond. She got mad and knocked on my door. I replied, “I am doing well.” After a few minutes. The same voices, “ Once you done, please put all the clothes outside and hang them over there.” I still don’t know who she talked to. So I didn’t answer. She knocked on my door rudely and repeat what she said. I truly believe this staff has mental illness. She accused and harassed me. I feel really uncomfortable about this. Last, I waited for about 10 minutes for checking out. There was only 1 customer before me. I waited for her to finish what she was doing in front of her. I asked her to order petite size for me. She basically lied to me. “No more this product. We don’t carry this in black or other colors. It’s very popular and sold out.” I just noticed that there are lots of options online after purchasing it. Terrible customer service!!! I definitely wouldn’t go back to shop in...

I have tried to purchase and try things on in this store, but can never get an associate to help or provide good service. This is becoming a trend with stores in the mall. Online shopping is booming and in store is failing. The employees are just uninterested in providing customer care. This week, I patiently stood in line to pay for my items, and the associate was on the phone the whole time, while her coworker was busy at her register. She kept complaining about the choice of music, at her place of employment. She did this over and over again, while rolling her eyes. I mean, why would I shop at a place like that? Not interested.
