Don's Liquors & Wine — Local services in San Jose

I ordered a full case of Buffalo Trace from Don’s Liquors & Wine, and the experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. All 12 bottles arrived with broken or tampered seals, which is a major red flag for product safety.

We did a side-by-side tasting on July 4th using bottles purchased locally, and the difference was obvious — the color, smell, and taste of these bottles were way off. It felt like a completely different (and possibly fake) product.

I contacted the store but got no proper resolution. This was not just bad service — it raised serious questions about authenticity and handling. I won’t be buying from them again and strongly suggest others proceed...

I do not imbibe alcohol of any kind anymore. Never had a problem it, just not too happy about the next day blahs. Years ago this was a cool little liquor store with beer and fishing tackle. After new ownership the tackle is gone there is no more bait and they do not sell fishing licences. I can buy all of their beer at most grocery store chains at better prices and rotation. I have been here twice and the staff was never friendly aside from the guy stocking the fridge.
