You know the people were friendly enough but there is a air of pretentiousness in the store that didn't used to be there. I've spent so much money at this store over the years and when I walked in there after work I was treated like I just didn't really belong like they were offended that I was asking for jean shorts because those are no longer in style... I don't know there was definitely an air of ridiculousness to it. The whole neighborhood has changed and some would say for the better but frankly it has just become full of fake people. It's not the store's fault they just happen to be located in that same area and so they get a lot of pretentious idiots coming in there and cater to them rather than to the rest of us who are just there to buy some clothes. I have half a mind to cancel my order. I donate all of my time at a church helping the church out as well as the school that is attached to it and all I want to be able to do is come in and buy clothes and not feel like there's something wrong with me for doing so. I mean they even acted like they were annoyed when I didn't particularly care for something or particularly care the way something fit. All of the things that I actually liked in the store they did not have my size so it was just kind of an odd experience all the way around. I don't think they're bad people but I can't remember a time where I would look at a pair of shorts that were $159 next two T-shirts that were $70. Just not what it used to be unfortunately. The truth is I just didn't feel like I belonged in that store anymore and I guess when it comes down to it I don't. Sad I used to really like the place. With time comes change and not always for the better. Like I said I don't think they're bad people I just think the neighborhood and the overall vibe has changed a little bit too...
Read moreI’m somewhat of a big guy and finding clothes to fit me has always been a struggle. I found out about DXL and I was a little nervous at first shopping here, thinking that I wouldn’t find styles for me. Thankfully, I was wrong! They have a lot of awesome styles ranging from casual to fancy. Also, the staff here are very sweet and eager to help you. They’ll ask you about your style or what you’re looking for and make great recommendations. I always feel happy coming to this store, knowing there is something for me!
Update: I was part of the groomsmen for my friend’s wedding and he had created a group # with Men’s Wearhouse for a rental suit. Men’s Wearhouse was a joke… they were just trying to get me in/out and the materials were cheap/bad. I ended up refunding/cancelling the rental and bought the exact same set-up at DXL. The ladies at the Winchester location in San Jose, CA were extremely helpful and gave me advice on sizing and style. I now feel very confident that I’ll look exceptionally well for my...
Read moreI have been shopping at DXL for years and I couldn’t be more impressed with my experience each time I go in! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home. The store itself is beautifully laid out with a wide variety of stylish, high-quality clothing.
What really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail. The pieces are thoughtfully curated, with a great balance of fashionable and timeless styles. The sizing options are inclusive which helps.
The customer service was top-notch as well. The staff went above and beyond, offering styling suggestions without being pushy, and they made sure I left with exactly what I was looking for.
I’ll definitely be returning to DXL in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for Big and...
