Excel Gas & Mart — Local services in San Jose

Shhhh! This is my little secret and I don't want anyone else to know about it. They give me exclusive low price discounts on gas! They're as cheap or cheaper than membership store has stations. They're open 24 hours. They're always friendly and professional no matter what time I go in. And I go at ALL times of day and night. I have a weird schedule. Doesn't bother them like it bothers some people (I'm not gonna name names, neighbors of mine). I come all the way from Santa Cruz just to get gas here. For reals. Okay, not totally for reals. I'm coming over anyway. But sometimes I push my van all the way to the summit, then coast all the way down to Excel just so I can save fifty cents per gallon. Okay, that's not totally true. And that's not really why... And maybe my prices aren't exclusive just to me, 'cuz I do have to wait sometimes for a bunch of other people who seem like they might be getting the same cheap prices that are displayed on the sign on the corner. I stopped at this gas station today around 12:30 pm. I went inside to pay with cash. The cashier behavior was rude and aggressive. I put my money on the counter but he said "take your money back". I asked why? I would like to buy gas with cash. He asked me to take my money back and put it in his hand. I refused to do that because I did not want to touch his hand (I have a compromised immunity system and I cannot afford to touch anybody's hand). He continued, "if you do not do that then take your money and get out of here, I do not give you any gas". I left with very confused feelings. They have the lowest prices on gas I've seen in a long time. I drive a Honda Odyssey$20 gift me a half a tank. I love this place. They also sell U No candy bars. My dad's favorite. I always pick one up it reminds me of him. They are so delicious and hard to find. And the people that work there are so nice. They also have public CLEAN bathrooms. That's always an added plus. You'll never get the excuse of "The bathrooms are out of service". We all know that's a nice way of saying " no you cannot use our bathrooms". They are into pleasing the customer.
