Gold Star Jewelers has always had a special place in my heart. Growing up in Willow Glen, I’d walk past their storefront countless times, always drawn to the sparkle in the window. As a kid, I would stop and admire the shiny pieces, dreaming of the day I could actually buy something from there.
Years later, that dream became a reality.
I’ve now had the pleasure of buying a few special items from Gold Star, including a beautiful pendant and a high-quality diamond ring—each piece made with real craftsmanship and care. The attention to detail is unmatched, and the diamonds truly speak for themselves.
Zorro, the owner, is a character you won’t forget—passionate, knowledgeable, and always ready to help you find something that fits you just right. Jet has also helped me out multiple times and is just as professional. Both of them make you feel welcome, never pressured, and they genuinely want you to leave happy with your purchase.
I’ll be honest—this isn’t the place where every single deal is going to be the best bang for your buck, and that’s okay. There were a couple of times where I brought things in and expected a little more back, but I also understood the game and knew I was supporting a small, local business with decades of roots in the community. I gave him the space to make the call, and I don’t regret it—because at the end of the day, trust and mutual respect mean more than a few dollars.
They also serviced one of my watches and did a fantastic job. Not only did they fix it up perfectly, but they held onto it for me a bit longer than planned while I was out of town. That kind of patience and flexibility is rare.
Gold Star Jewelers is more than just a store—it’s part of the Willow Glen story. You can tell there’s a true love for the art of jewelry here, and it shows in every piece, every polish, every repair. If you’re looking for a place that still believes in quality over quick sales, this is it.
Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates timeless craftsmanship, fair deals, and...
Read moreDO NOT SHOP HERE! YOU WILL GET SCREWED! My husband bought me a chain for Christmas. I went in to the store in January (they were closed Jan 1st -15th, probably to avoid the rush of returns) to exchange for a longer chain. The man who I spoke with was mid 30s, 5'7, curly dark hair, dark close-set eyes. I told him i was willing to pay more for a few inches longer. He said that he didn't have any longer chains, but took my phone and email and said he would contact me when they got them in. This is most basic, generic gold chain in the world, so kind of weird they didn't have it, but ok, whatever. He never called, texted, or emailed. I called in March to follow up. Again, they said they'd call me back. Never did. Now we're almost in may. I returned the original chain and the guy was so snarky and rude about it. He claimed that in 4 months time, they never received a longer chain! Seriously???? After lots of excuses and attitude he gave me my money back. DO NOT SHOP HERE! THEIR SELECTION IS AS NON-EXISTANT AS THEIR...
Read moreI can’t recommend Gold Star enough, especially if you’re looking for custom and inspired jewelry. David at Gold Star has helped me bring my visions to life for beautiful jewelry to commemorate my babies. Highly, highly, highly recommend visiting them for all your jewelry needs, but especially push presents or sentimental gifts. David has been professional, kind, fair, creative, and just, in general, has great taste. I do not plan to buy commercial jewelry from here on out — I’ll just ask Gold Star to source / make everything for me. Support a small, talented, local business instead of going straight to a big chain or online retailer — I promise you they’ll exceed...
