Rating: 3.5 I was genuinely rooting for Yomie's Rice x Yogurt. It's a small, super clean spot with a kiosk ordering system. Great concept overall, especially if you're into fresh-made yogurt blends and unique tea-y vibes.
We ordered four drinks: Passion Fruit Yogurt, Mango Yogurt, Grape Teagurt, and a hot Red Beans Milk drink. When it came to taste, a few hits: the Passion Fruit hit the bright, tangy note, and the Red Beans Milk Tea was a cozy winner. But the Grape Teagurt was a total miss for my wife. And honestly, when I tried it, I got why. It's a love it or leave it taste, and that one just wasn't for us.
What really knocked the vibe: the wait. There was only one person ahead of us, but the folks who came after got their drinks before ours. Sure, each drink gets special treatment (they weigh the ingredients and build everything individually) but 30 minutes for four drinks was too long.
To sum it up: I love the idea. Fresh-made, healthy-feeling drinks with creative yogurt-and-grain combos. But execution slows it down, and not all flavours land. I wanted to love it, but walking out I wasn't sure I'd go again any time soon. Great for a unique treat if you're...
Read moreThis review isn’t about the food or service—both are fantastic. I love the yogurt here--it's made with quality ingredients and I find that it's much lighter and more flavorful than the yogurt you find at supermarkets.
My concern is with the security guards patrolling the parking lot. They seem to have an issue with delivery drivers who park for too long, which I can understand to a point. However, I’ve been harassed twice by security even though I was a paying customer just picking up a yogurt drink at Yomie's.
It’s upsetting to see delivery workers treated poorly when they’re simply doing their jobs—and even more frustrating to be mistaken for one and treated rudely myself. I hope Yomie's management can talk to the owners of Pacific Rim Plaza about this issue. It’s uncomfortable to be approached aggressively when you’re just there to enjoy a yogurt drink, and it makes me hesitate to return.
Please ask the security team in the parking lot to stop harassing...
Read moreThe first time I’ve tried this tea house was I went to visit my friends here last year. They were just opened about the soft opening. It was very delicious and much more better than any others I’ve had before. Today I went there again and tried their new seasonal drink ‘rose yogurt’. It made an impression for me. It was soooooo good. I think this Yomie should be the best one I’ve had whatever the taste or the service, and they have much more choices for the new fruity drinks!...
