A quick stop shop for screws and bolts but I wouldn’t buy anything else here other than some of the unique houseware stuff they sell. Went in there to buy a garden hose and it was 22$ compared to THEIR OWN WEBSITE where it was 12$. I asked 2 separate associates if they price match and they said they don’t price match anywhere. Was going to go to target (where they had it) but since I didn’t need it till next weekend I just said eh screw it I’ll order it online so hopped on amazon and found it for 11$ to be delivered just in time. DeNault’s really has to get with the times and start offering price match to nearby stores if they want to survive this online shopping era. Not saying they have to price match internet prices but at least the bigger stores and definitely their OWN site. wouldn’t be surprised if they have a lot more inventory with a “convenience markup” other than hoses haha because that’s what it felt like. So from now on I’m just gunna buy screws and bolts there which I rarely need anyways.
1 Star for the self serve screws and bolts selection And 1 Star for the awesome staff they have there. The guys in the back are always so willing to help and they know their stuff. 1 Star for the services they provide there like window screen...
Read moreGood customer service, and I usually find what I want. Small hardware stores like Ace are to the big chain stores what Circle K is to supermarkets. More expensive and you go to them for convenience. You don't do any major shopping at Circle K, or buy lots of large, expensive items at small hardware stores. What you are paying for at Ace is great customer service. If you look a little lost someone will come and ask if you need help. It's nice. I've been in a big store and wished I'd brought a lunch I went up and down aisles so long. Plenty of parking including handicapped, wheelchairs accessible. One thing I wonder about is how the Chick-Fil-A they built next door will affect traffic flow. The exit for their drive thru feeds straight to the entry/exit to Del Obispo. If they are busy I imagine it will back up there. There is another driveway at the left end of Ace. Use that one if traffic in...
Read moreI love this store but I am equally frustrated with it. This is the only hardware store in San Juan but they close at 6:00pm…really? I get home from work and something broke, I have to drive to Lowe’s or Home Depot in San Clemente or Mission Viejo. If you work an 8-5 job out of town you have nothing local until the weekend. Often times if it’s not an emergency I will order off amazon and get it the next day because I can’t get it when I need it. I’m not suggesting the store be open 24hrs but maybe until 8:00pm so working people can still get things they need. I don’t want this store to ever leave but I fear the lack of convenience will eventually kill it, sooner or later a big box company will come in and then it will be left to the hard to find items. I do love this store, great help and lots of variety, I just wait until the weekend when a...
