Pinx — Local services in San Leandro

I posted this on Yelp but I want to post here as well because everyone needs to know how wonderful Pinx is! The review is kind of long so if you don’t want to read the full thing, just know this - Pinx is amazing and do not hesitate to book them!!

I cannot find the words to properly explain how thankful my husband and I are for Pinx!! I first came to know about them from an event I attended many years ago where they served the most delicious appetizers. I immediately followed them on IG and made a mental note that I would use them whenever an opportunity came. When I got married this past May, I took the opportunity to work with them and we were absolutely blown away by everything. Our main contact person was Stephanie, who is extremely kind, patient, thorough and so so sweet. We exchanged numerous emails and calls back and forth and she was so responsive and helpful each time. She didn’t once complain or seem frustrated when we made countless edits to our menu, headcount, etc. My parents came to our in person tasting with Stephanie and we all had a blast - my parents and her became besties haha. She was so patient with my parents and answered their many questions throughout the whole planning process. While planning for our wedding, Stephanie remembered some key things we forgot, was mindful of our budget, gave advice on complimentary food options, and worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinators. We love Stephanie!

On the day of our actual event, the Pinx team excelled. They came extremely prepared, all their staff members were so nice, food was as delicious as we tasted and all our guests kept raving on about how yummy the food was and how lovely Pinx’s team was. Special shout-out to Chef Diego and everyone on the team! Despite challenges from another caterer we had on site to serve some of our cultural specific food, Pinx stepped up to the plate. Not only did Pinx deliver their meals in a timely fashion for a 3 course plated service we requested for 250 guests, the Pinx team helped the other caterer deliver some of their entrees so that guests were not kept waiting (this was something they were not required to do at all but jumped in when they saw the need). For more context, Pinx handled a cocktail hour with passed appetizers and a 3 course meal and the other caterer served some entrees. You can tell the Pinx team cares about what they do - they treat your event like it’s one of their personal events with their loved ones. My family can’t thank Pinx enough for literally saving the day! Do not hesitate to book Pinx, they are an amazing team and we highly recommend them. We will certainly most definitely use them again in the future!...

This review is from the vendor's perspective. As a wedding coordinator, I come across many caterers, and not all can immediately gain my respect and heart like Pinx Catering did. Pinky and Honey are prompt, professional and extremely warm hosts. Right from the start, the emails/phone calls were always dealt with in a timely fashion. On day-of, it was nothing short of superb service. Honey arrived smiling with her team, ready to work and be a team player. She definitely represented the brand well, along with her teammates. Everyone was hospitable and kind, and the client had nothing but high praises for them!! I'm so pleased that the experience was so stellar for our very 1st time working together.
