I have purchased 2 firearms from this location and have not had any trouble with them in that process. Everything went smooth and prices were reasonable. The employee's were very nice and helpful, and really seemed like they knew what they were doing. I can't remember the names of them because it's been a while since I went in.
I just got off the phone with some older man who sounds like he was completely lost the whole phone call. I simply asked what I would need to do to make a private party deal (shipping it from this FFL to another FFL). A simple question, which just could not be answered. The man treated me like I was an idiot, then tells me that it will cost $100 to have the firearm shipped from there to the other FFL, and when it gets to the second location it will cost an additional large amount of money. They had no idea what they were talking about and pretty much just sounded like they were trying to hang up the phone as fast as possible, like they did not want to say another word to me. After the back and forth of what I needed to do and incorrect information, I realized I was getting no where. I just said "I think that's all the info I need, thank you for your time" and before I could get the last few words out I just hear a click and it's over.
This review is more like a employee review of that person who didn't know what they were talking about and hung up on me, not about the other guys who work there. The other guys are great and really know what they're doing. If you run into an old guy who just mumbles and tries to avoid giving you service, find someone or...
Read moreI was an FFL dealer for 30 years, I'm selling guns & access to people across the country as I move my collection and know the state & federal gun laws very well. I sold a shotgun to someone living in SLO, I called Four Seasons to let them know I'm going to be shipping them a shotgun for a particular customer of theirs. The guy on the phone said I have to ship my shotgun through an FFL dealer to him. I explained to him that it was 100% legal for an individual to ship a gun to an FFL, I do it all the time and I've never had a problem as long as I include a copy of my Calif Drivers License.
I told the guy from Four Seasons that the FFL's in SoCal charge $100 to ship a gun and that it was a waste of money, especially since state & federal law allows a firearm to be shipped from a private party to an FFL. This guy told me he didn't care if it cost me more and that it was my problem.
I have dealt with hundreds of FFL's across the country and this is the 1st time I've had a dealer refuse to accept a firearm for their customers. They're ignorant of the law, they're forcing their customers to spend money needlessly and instead of learning the laws of their profession, they'd rather lose business. I found another FFL just down the road from these guys who was happy to accept my shotgun and I'll be leaving them a glowing feedback.
Beware of these folks, they don't know the laws, they don't care if they waste their customers money and they're difficult...
Read moreI have been going to four seasons for about 11 years now and I will not be going back. I have purchased all my fishing and hunting tags and licenses at four seasons. The last time I was there the guy selling me my hunting tags tell me he has never hunted or fished before. He wanted to know how hard the class was to get a license. Not that this is a big deal but get somebody who can at least offer some knowledge of the sport to your customers. Rather than someone who admits ignorance.
I took my deer rifle in to have the ejector spring replaced. The gunsmith for four seasons tells me no prob. The guy keeps my gun for 7 months, to replace a spring. Unbelievable. I called him repeatedly and he tells me it's almost done and more bs. It's finally done and he charges me like $40 to replace the spring. Now I'm on a hunting trip and the gun jams because the spring didn't eject the shell casing. I tried it again and the same thing. Every time I pull the bolt back the gun doesn't eject the shell and the gun jams.
Thanks for nothing four seasons. I and everyone I know will not be coming back. When someone pays you for a job you need to do the work that you have been paid to do. Simple....
