I would avoid audio outlet at all costs. They do extremely unprofessional work. I brought my truck to them a month or two ago and they did a very lazy audio install. I brought in two amps, component speakers for all four doors, and subs to be installed.
When I got my truck back the tweeters kept popping out of the doors because they weren't securely installed. This was a red flag to me, so I inspected other parts of the install. It turns out they did a lot of lazy work. I guess they just assumed no one would check their work.
I paid extra to have them run new speaker wire into all of my doors instead of using the factory wire, but they still used the factory wire in the back doors. I was charged for them running new wire into the doors even though they didn't do it.
I brought in Stinger Fast Rings to be installed, and they were not installed. They mounted the crossovers directly behind the mid-range speakers in the back doors where one part of the fast ring is supposed to go. They didn't even mount the crossovers in the front at all. The crossovers were just dangling by the speaker wire behind a plastic panel.
I brought my truck down there and showed them some of the lazy work that they had done. I was told that they would spend a day on my truck making sure that all the issues were fixed. I dropped my truck off for a whole day hoping that they would do everything right.
When I got my truck back I didn't like the way it sounded so I walked back in the shop and got the tech to come tune it for me. He tuned it with the distortion detector, and I played one song and it sounded pretty decent. I left and just assumed that they had fixed everything.
On the drive home from Audio Outlet, I noticed that they didn't even put my truck all the way back together. There was plastic trim pieces in the passenger floor board.
I also noticed that something didn't sound right. It turns out the tech had wired one of my door speakers out of phase. Seems like a professional shop would check speaker phase before giving someone's car back...
I ended up taking the rear door panels off, and the crossovers were still mounted directly behind the mid-range. The fast ring was installed now but had fallen down into the bottom of my door panel. The tech was so lazy that he just tried to stick the fast ring on top of the crossover instead of taking the time to mount the crossover in a proper location.
I was very disappointed that Audio Outlet had lied to me again. They definitely did not take the time to fix all of their lazy work. They had spent maybe an hour or two to only fix half of the problems.
I took my truck to a much better audio shop, and that shop was able to definitively tell me that my system did not sound the way that it should. This other shop told me what they needed to do to get my truck sounding right, and they did it. I had to spend more money, but now my truck sounds better than I ever expected it to.
To sum it up, Audio Outlet lied about they work they did, and their techs did some really lazy work. I would have had no problem if they would have fixed the issues after I brought them to their attention, but they didn't. I don't understand how they could give my truck back to me like that.... They had to have known I was going to check their work after the first time I found a bunch of problems.
Stay away from Audio Outlet. They have been in business for a long time, but clearly they do not do the quality work that...
Read moreAfter I bought my truck about 6 years ago I took it to these guys to tint the windows, put paint protection (it's like a layer of clear tint you put on the front or areas that might get rock damage from the road).
I spent about $800 that day. Fast forward to May/2020. The window tint was fading and the paint protection film looking cloudy so I took it back to have the windows re-tinted and the paint protection removed. I also had a new fuse block installed under the hood for my sound system.
They tinted the windows, installed the fuse block but couldn't get the paint protection film off of the hood of my truck. They said they would contact the vendor and see what could be done. I have been calling back every few weeks and the counter guy, been the same guy for years, says no new update. Today I go to get my oil changed and there was a handful of Snap-On tools under the hood in the engine compartment. No other work has been done on my truck since that visit. At any point I could have hit a bump and had tools flying around breaking things on my motor.
They fixed some wiring inside my truck too because all the cut wires were laying in the seats. I spent $400 for that work. I don't have the time to tell them how to do their job. Some people do, I understand that. If you have the time and money to stand over these guys to make sure they do everything right then you should do it yourself.
For this kind of money I expect them to 1. know what to do 2.take care of it without my having to tell them.
I'm disappointed. I'm giving up on Audio Outlet and going to a body shop to get my hood fixed.
Buyer beware. These guys do not stand behind...
Read moreBeen coming to these guys for awhile and have never been disappointed! Fred and Taylor are the two guys are helped me for whatever the issue was. They are very professional and know their stuff. Got all my windows tinted over there with WINKOS tint. Top of the line tint that is used to recent UV protection and keep maximum heat out of your vehicle. Have been very satisfied with them and have got my sisters and my dads tint done there also. Great service and great people to work with. Any problems you have, they will make sure they fix it. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Would recommend to everyone. These guys are great!
UPDATE: I miss the old staff bat used to work here, I was a lot more pleased with the customer service that came from Fred and Taylor. Now the two people I have worked with are Mario and Jeff. Jeff is very knowledgeable about his stuff and knows how to talk to people with respect. On the other hand Mario is very rude at times and is straight to the point but can definitely work on his customer service with other people. He is very nice and very friendly but at times can sound like he just wants you to buy something and leave. I ended up going to Custom Sounds in Austin and was a lot more pleased with their customer service. They went ahead and installed my amp and bass know for a cheaper price and even let me test out many different subs before finding the right one for me. Even coming back to them after two months I was able to get a clean swap for new subs I was more happy with. Audio Outlet has been very good with me in the past but now with new staff I hate to say it but I am very...
