On 09/16/24, both my son and spouse went in with the intentions of purchasing a shotgun. Lloyd was very helpful but Diana/Diane or whatever her name is was very rude. While my son was making his selection, he came to find out that they only had the display model which had scuffs and scratches. Lloyd offered a 5% discount. My son decided to purchase the display. While waiting to do his paperwork, the employees left his gun on the counter behind the gun bar and ended up dropping it on the ground from about 4ft high. Upon further examination of the gun, it was seen with more scuffs from the fall at which point my son was offered another 5% discount. When it came time for Diane to do the paperwork, she was very rude and got upset when my spouse told her they should probably clean the counters so they won’t drop another gun. She went to the back, and unbeknownst to my family, called the cops. She decided she didn’t want to offer a discount after all and told my son she had no intentions to ever give them a discount and was only going to give him a 5% discount because he saw the gun fall. My son just wanted to make his purchase and leave. As soon as he was done paying for his gun, the cops walked in. For this “manager” to call the cops for absolutely no reason is absurd when she was in the wrong the entire time. And if my family was doing anything wrong, then why were they still allowed to purchase the firearm?? Why wait til after the transaction is complete to bring the cops in?? Had we known, we wouldn’t have made the purchase. Lesson learned though. My son will be canceling his Academy card and we will now take our business elsewhere. We’ve spent too much money at this location to be treated like trash. Diane made it seem like they were demanding a discount when that was not the case. They were offered the discount by the...
Read moreWas told I'd be able to use a picture of my receipt over the phone after waiting in line for 15 min am told I need a hard copy which i do not have with me and will have to drive a the way to san Antonio to retreive. So I'm asked if it was a manager who told me that I'm like idk if it was a manager or not i was told as long as the numbers are clear on the picture I can return my item. So i ask to speak to a manager she says that its fine and gives the man permission to process the return. So i wait in line another 10 minutes. Just to come up again to this guy who does not process the return but begins to call another manager over which never shows up. Instead the first manager and guy are discussing wether to procese the return or not. So they both come back and decide that they cannot do it. I mean I'm sure if i were caucasian they would not be giving me this trouble about returning something. But no apparently they believe i altered a picture of a receipt and am trying to steal. Discrimination at its finest. Staff sucks and are unorganized in which case I'm now on my way to san Antonio to pick up my hard copy to show these idiots i didn't steal the item just...
Read morei had came in to buy some birkenstocks, i asked the cashier to check them and make sure they were the same shoes, she did and said they were good, i went home and found out i bought two right foot shoes, faulty on my part. i went back and couldn’t find a left shoe, all the boxes were empty, all that was left was a worn display shoe. i took it to the front and asked if they had anymore and without even looking at the shoes they dismissed me and said they didn’t have any in the back, but ended up scanning the barcode on the box to look for them. they were not helpful nor nice. i came back today to return the shoes entirely as the quality of the sandels were just bad. the cashier was questioning the quality herself, but still made a snarky remark about it being my reason of returning the shoes. Cashier Dylan was on his phone watching a basketball game as he was “helping me out”. Mia was dismissive of my request, and Jadyn had attitude and was too busy talking to employees to help me. others that same day were also unhelpful. not a great group of employed people, and i’m...
