If I could give less than 1 star I would. This store is terrible. I went in looking for an antler mounting kit. When I walked in the store the three people at the front told me to go to the gun section to buy a kit. When I went over there I had to take a number. There was myself and one other person there, why should I need a number when it is not busy? (I now understand why it isn't busy). There was 2 people working the counter, one was helping the other customer, and the other was staring at a computer looking like he wanted to help nobody. This whole time they are not even going through the numbers or anything. There are no other people on the floor to help or provide any customer service. Finally after about 20 minutes, the person on the computer asks if I need help, (obviously I've been standing here for 20 minutes). I tell him that I am looking for a antler mounting kit. Along the walls they have several mounted animals giving you the impression that they would sell mounting kits at the store. Also since it is an outdoor store where they sell hunting equipment and promote hunting, they should sell something where you could put up a trophy. So I specifically said, "A mounting kit for antlers". He looked at me with a funny face like he didn't know what I was talking about. He had to ask another employee who was behind the counter, also all of a sudden there are 5 people behind the counter standing there and talking to each other, where were they 20 minutes ago?, and the other employee responded with, "We don't carry those, we used to have ones for turkeys but we don't carry those anymore either." I could not believe it. The last time I checked, turkey's don't have antlers, if their evolution has changed please let me know. Can someone please explain to me why a hunting store, with mounted animals on the wall, does not sell mounting kits?! That is like going to a sporting goods store, and they have the row with all of the basketball hoops, and they don't sell basketballs. If you want good customer service/good outdoors store, Turners is not the place, you'll probably have better luck at a Walmart or store like that. I know I won't be finding myself in...

I was working with a gentleman, he was new but he had great energy...since this was 2015 I now had to take the "new" rifle and handgun exams (more money for CA) and was graded by a manager (black shirt) once I passed he walked me over to the person I was working with but he was working with someone else, no big deal, instead of helping me since his co worker was business the manager just stood there. It got to the point after standing there for a couple of minutes, not joking, I said I will wait for him if you guys are paid on commission. The manager spoke up and said NO we are not....and that's when the attitude started even more with this guy. I actually turned to a customer that was standing right next to me and said "Am I being an Ahole" and he said nope, this guy (manager) has an attitude problem,,,the manager. There is a lot more to the story...found out the management staff is pretty new there. Bought my stuff, came back 10 days later, there was maybe 2 people at the desk...took a number and waited like 10 minutes.
What is really funny is my buddy went in there like a month again and told me about his crappy experience, I laughed and asked if he dealt with the manager so and so....he said yep!!
The only reason I went to turners is because I had gift certs, other then that I would not have spent my money at this location. I go to Poway...
