First of all....YAY LINDA!!!!!! I had anxiety medication that was very important. I got home and found out I was shorted by six pills.... but I was sure it was just an accident...human error is always present and understandable IF it is acknowledged and addressed properly. I told the staff and they directed me to a man who they said was the manager. I talked to him and he said he would investigate and call me. He didn't call me. I went back to the store and talked to the staff and they said HE was NOT the manager and that they would notify the manager and that SHE would call me. Nobody called me. Meanwhile I was facing the need to ration anxiety medication. The shining star at the end of the story was Linda. Her last name might be Nguyen? But she is just fabulous and wonderful and completely helped me the way I needed to be helped. She saved the day. But this place has serious problems. There is also a young woman there who tend s to wear her Covid mask UNDER her nose. I would avoid getting pills from her. But YAY LINDA!!!!!!!! PS In all references to gender all personal pronouns have been confirmed in this review....
Read moreThis pharmacy is severely understaffed and unable to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion. Prescription was called in yesterday morning and I came and waited in an almost hour long line between 5 and 6 p.m. (when they close!) and the prescription was not ready. I came back today at noon and the prescription was still not ready.
The Pharmacist then asked me about the kidney function of the person the prescription was for because it made a difference in the dosing. Because I didn't know, the Pharmacist then had to confirm with the doctors. Turns out the lower dosing was needed. I am grateful that the pharmacist caught the dosing error (only reason for any stars) but should have confirmed with the doctor first instead of waiting on information from the patient about kidney function.
I waited another almost hour for the call to the doctor and the prescription to then be filled. In the time I was waiting today, 20+ people came to pick up prescriptions and only ONE was ready; every other person had to wait or come back at...
Read moreI've been using this Walgreens for about 4 years, and it's just gone downhill so fast. I used to have little trouble getting a prescription, but now it seems like they can't figure out how to properly stock their supplies. Sometimes it takes multiple weeks to get a prescription filled, and to make matters worse, when you walk in or call them, it takes forever to talk to someone.
This all started happening when the Belmont Ralston location closed down. You would think that with everything moving to this location, it would be supported by extra staff and longer hours. The OPPOSITE has happened. There is LESS staff, and now they are only open 9 to 6, which for someone with a working schedule in downtown San Francisco is unacceptable.
I am moving away from the area soon, so all of this is pretty moot for me. However, be warned if considering moving your prescriptions here, they are getting worse and worse at...
