Raley's — Local services in San Pablo

This is the best quality grocery store in the area, from their vegetable produce selection, meats, seafood, florist, deli and bakery. Of course they also provide the can goods, starch foods, frozen foods (wide selection of ice cream - my favorite area), baking goods, dairy, snacks, coffee and cereal, pet food, laundry and dish soaps, TP, Paper Towels, cosmetics, cold and paid aids, soda and flavored water and alcohol beverages, wide selection of beers (200+), magazines/books, to seasonal goods from coolers, umbrella's to Christmas, Easter and other holiday goods.

There is also a Wells Fargo Bank in Raley's, a place to purchase LOTTO Tickets, cash in your coins, buy holiday cards and gift wrappings, stationary, dry ice, newspaper, barbecue and fire products.

Prices are generally the same as Safeway, and 10% higher than Lucky's and FoodMaxx, but there are many sales and specials to make up this difference, plus Raley's has it all (especially more than Sprouts and Trader Joes), where it seems every time I go to the Lucky's (in Pinole) they are missing inventory, or FoodMaxx is just too busy with not enough checkers (plus I have to bag my own goods), to Safeway's in this area are so dated that I feel like I am shopping in the 1970s.

I rather shop in modern grocery stores, so if I have the choice, I rather spend the extra 10% and go to Raley's and get all that I need. If I am tight on money, I go to Raley's, Central Foods, and the...

This store is nice and clean I lile to use self checkout just because they only have 2 or 1 cashier and usually they have a line. I love the Deli sandwiches they make them really chunky and good all the time, the one thing that i don't like is that for such a busy deli specially on the weekends they only have 1 employee making sandwiches and another employee only helping people that want hot food, most of the times when i go to the deli/ usually the employee that's supposed to be helping costumer's with hot food don't have any costumers and they just stand behind the guy making sandwiches watching him/her meanwhile there is a line that has 3 or 4 people waiting. It makes no sense what they ought of do is help make sandwiches or either hire someone else or train the manager. I used to be a manager at a retail store and i was constrained in just about any department, if the manager can't help than what are they managing. Ok the store is clean and fully stocked i usually find what i need most cashiers don't greet you they just start scanning things another reason I like self checkout. If you plan on shopping here do it before noon or after 1pm that's when rush our hits also anytime after 5 it gets busy. Have fun it's not as bad as...

This is my go-to store because of location. The store is always clean and the staff are very friendly and supportive. I would have given 5 stars but feel that they can improve on several things: The baked chicken is always overcooked and it taste old. Not fresh. Is it because they leave them in the oven much longer than they should. When i debone, it sadly falls apart like a wasting corpse. I wish they’d taste like the ones at Safeway in Orinda. The other item that could use improving is how they arrange their raw fish. Raw seafood should not be touching other seafood. But every time I walk by there to buy Atlantic salmon, I cringe because the tray is butted right up against the other fish tray with fish mixing juices with each other.
