Cafe Soleil — Restaurant in San Pablo

If you're looking for a caterer for the Brazilian Room, Cafe Soleil is the best. I would recommend them to any friend, family, acquaintance, or business.

We contracted with them a year in advance for an April 2022 wedding, and they have been NOTHING short of spectacular. They are truly special because we decided to self-plan our wedding, and I did not come across another caterer so willing help me make it happen!

It wasn't just advice and years of wisdom they provided. Jen and Cecy offered extra supplies like beautiful chargers, vases, table number holders, candle holders - all at no charge because they have the items on-hand and do wedding so often! The other caterers I talked to were so transactional and would charge for any thing or service you needed from them. That wasn't the case with Jen/Cecy. There's such a human touch with them.

The food is amazing, that's a given. But my favorite part was when Jen let us come in and create our tablescape together. She let us play with different utensils, charger colors, vases, and put them on the table! Through that process, we transformed our vague vision of a reception into a reality.

Cecy, the event manager, responds basically immediately. You can call, email her, and she'll remind you when you've forgotten something. Jen, the owner, has been in the food biz for many years making her exceptionally adept at doing weddings, and Cecy has been a wedding planner for many years prior to Soleil.

We had breakfast there and it was awesome! We ordered the Polish sausage omelet and they were served with fruits / hash brown. The omelettes had perfect proportion of the sausage, cheese and spinach, it was delicious! The hash brown was crunchy, the toasts were buttery crispy. Yum! We ate 1/3 of my breakfast and then we were told that someone smashed our car! I still managed to finish another bite before rushing out to see what happened. What I worried about was the pastry that I bought earlier in the same plaza being stolen. Were people that hungry? I had my computer in the trunk and there was no way someone would see it. The pastries were still there, but my computer in the trunk was gone! The thief must have seen me taking out my laptop from the front seat and hid it in the trunk. Never leave any valuables in the car including the trunk! The cafe staff and the customers were very nice and sympathetic. The manager even insisted that we don’t pay for the food. We wrapped the 2/3 of the food and was mad that the thief ruined our breakfast experience. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very upset about my computer and the hard drives that had my life’s work. We decide to go to the cafe again and not let anyone ruin the experience. Last but not least, my message to the thief: you’d better be caught by the cops than robbing the wrong...

Cafe Soleil also does wedding catering and they are the absolute best at it. Jen, the owner and head chef, is the sweetest and most caring person who is so passionate about cooking and has tons of experience with wedding catering. Her skill, passion, and love is reflected in her cooking and she cares so much about giving you the best dining experience for your wedding from start to finish. Not to mention, the food was also absolutely delicious and everyone loved it at our wedding.

Out of all the wedding caterers that we found, Cafe Soleil had, hands down, the best pricing and value.

During the pandemic, my wife and I had to cancel and find different venues a few times and sometimes the venues would not have a kitchen at all, but Cafe Soleil would be so supportive, accommodating, and adaptive. They would do a site visit and come up with a plan for indoor kitchens, outdoor kitchens, and venues with no kitchen at all.
