We stopped by this hole in the wall place a few weeks ago on our way to a funeral, and didn't expect much. Firstly, there is no dine in seating so be prepared to take your meal to-go. Service was prompt and our server Blake was friendly and helpful, he even shined our shoes for us upon entering the establishment.
The food was GREAT, although some of the paper was a bit dry. If you do order the paper, get the color copies instead of the black and white ones, they add a new dimension of flavor and are worth the extra cost. I would also recommend their cardboard boxes, but be prepared for an EPIC portion size- I split one with my wife and we couldn't even finish it all! Also, be sure to stock up on the free pens when you go, they're a great dessert for after your meal is done.
The ambience was.. not great- it was easy to tell that did not want diners sticking around to enjoy their food, but the food was so good that I didn't mind. I would like to see some tables and chairs, though, so we could have somewhere to wait for our order.
Overall, I highly recommend if you're looking for a quick and delicious...
Read moreThe customer service is so bad. Specially the young African-American lady called âVâ, taking a long time for no reason, eating candy and talking to co-workers in the back.. I asked if I can leave a usps package there and she told me they can receive it I just need to print the label for 5 dollars. I said yes but then when I was about to pay she told me âwe can not give you a receipt so if something happens to the package you donât have any proof you sent it..â of course I didnât sent it, I would have opted for printing it myself and take it to usps directly, I didnât sent it I just wasted my time and 5 dollars. You are in customer service, you should be better and...
Read moreHorrible customer service with racist overtones. I went to this store for notary service. When the notary on-duty saw that my notary request was for a Jurat, she refused to do it. Her reason was that she had not sworn anyone in before. In reality, if you can't complete a Jurat, then how can you be a notary? I will mention that she appeared to be Caucasian and I'm African-American, hence the remark about racist overtones. I also ended up paying $2.00 for a $.99 envelope because she was going to make me wait an elongated time for change. NEVER ANY PROBLEM AT THE EL CERRITO STORE, where I will take all my business...
