HOLY MOLY this place has 137 reviews now and still has 5 stars. Let that speak for itself. Yesterday I returned to Jack in the Beanstalk to try the hot food which I did not realize is different every day. Yesterday they had white rice, butter chicken, beef stew, chicken tikka masala, and Shepard’s pie. I tried each and they’re all fantastic but especially the butter chicken and a close second the chicken tikka masala. NOW let me say I love Indian food but my girlfriend’s mother due to a traumatic childhood experience does not like Indian food and basically never eats it UNTIL YESTERDAY when she tried the butter chicken and exclaimed “that’s delicious” let that quote sink in…. The satisfaction of converting my girlfriend’s mother let alone at Jack in the Beanstalk is immeasurable. We went on their fb page and saw what they have for today…bbq ribs. Are you kidding me? This place is a gem and you must go. Not an expert here (former masshole white boy living in Brooklyn) but it would be sick to see some Rogan Josh, pakora, biryani, roti/naan or palak paneer :)

This place ROCKS! Extremely nice staff great prepared foods and produce great prices AND the fresh homemade cider donuts!!! Can’t wait to go back for the Indian hot bar....

Oooh! Second location. Easier for me to get to. I know it's a pricey little market but they do a good job with their food, I also like the produce they carry and if this place starts to sell the pie in the sky coffee like their other location.. wow I'd love that. I ate the vegetable lasagna and when I finished it I cried. The vegetables were very well prepped and cooked perfectly. I would eat it again.

Update, I stop here pretty often to restock some of my favorite hummus but they started making more palak paneer and babaganousch. I can't tell you how impressed was by the flavors, I've been to many places around here that just don't have the deeper smokey eggplant flavor that the one they sell here has. Really friendly staff and they remember you so...

Jack In The Beanstalk is one of those rare places that truly stands out.
