I’m very disappointed. We took a trip from NH for the weekend and stopped here for lunch on the way home. Our waitress was very rigid and not very personable or attentive. She didn’t bother to come over and ask how we were doing after our food came, which took quite some time. Much longer than it should have. The service was slow- and I had to chase her down to ask her for our check when I went in to use the restroom after sitting waiting for her for 10 minutes after we finished our meal. When we finally got our check- I handed it to another waiter because I wasn’t going to sit there for another 10-15 minutes to wait for her to come back, and the waiter stood there with my credit card in his hand while he talked to his brother and some friends for 5 minutes before he ran my card through. They were out of avocados and guacamole, which was a let down to say the least. When I asked to sub queso for the guacamole they didn’t have- she said “I will see if they will do that”. The queso was separating in the cup and tasted very bland. I asked for a side of bbq sauce, and I was charged $2 extra…for an ounce of sauce that was supposed to be in my burrito but wasn’t. My husbands chicken bacon ranch burrito had no ranch in it, and then they charged us $1 for a side of sour cream for my son that should have been included with his meal as a sauce option for the build your own burrito. We will never come back here and absolutely never recommend this establishment to anyone. It has the potential to be a great restaurant but it is lacking a lot of key pieces that are important when working in the service industry. The restaurant wasn’t busy and we were the only ones there for the first 30 minutes of our visit. I don’t see any reason for there to be such a lack of proper, timely service and an inattentive waitress other than a mismanaged and poorly run...
Read moreThe food was subpar and we paid $120ish for Two margaritas, a glass of wine, One kids macaroni plate, fajitas, and birria brisket tacos- this would be okay for us if the food was edible. We had a group of 6 and none of us enjoyed our food and no one finished their food or even ate a majority of it because it tasted bad. The waitress never came to check on the food so we just tried to stomach it and eat what we could tolerate. The queso had no flavor, it tasted like a roux. The bus person or a server who wasn’t ours collected our water glasses to prebus, but never brought a refill for anyone including our eight year old child. There were more peppers in the fajitas than anything else, and they were sliced really thick and not cooked evenly, they smelled like vegetable oil if I could guess what the smell was. I think the sauce with the birria was actually just aujus. No flavor. They gave two birria tacos for about $20 with some rice. The rice tasted horrible and it’s hard to mess up rice but it was strongly flavored like boxed basil and herb You rice vs Mexican or southwestern flavors. The macaroni and cheese children’s plate tastes like the same cheese sauce as the queso which has no flavor. The salsa had no flavor- it reminded us of those canned tomatoes with Chilis in it. We had to eat when we got back to our housing because of these things. On the way out, the waitress came running out with the receipt book saying we forgot to leave a receipt that we clearly left on the table, maybe their bus person had collected it, but we didn’t have it- they took our copy of it since they lost their own. I typically tip 20% but that was not the case...
Read moreI went here with my family to celebrate my birthday, we didn't have a wait time for a table which was nice, especially for this time of the year. For starters we ordered the southwestern fried calamari and the jalapeño and roasted corn ragoons. The calamari wasn't the best, it was chewy and the breading was pretty soggy from the sauce that they drizzled overtop it before serving. Fried calamari should be crunchy, maybe consider putting that sauce that's drizzled over top as a side to dip into instead. The corn ragoons was amazing, we never tried anything like it before and really enjoyed it. For an entree I had the shrimp tacos which was pretty good, I definitely enjoyed it and loved the side of rice and beans. It was very flavorful and delicious. I had also ordered a side of their corn but the waiter had completely forgotten about it so we ended up taking it to go and it was phenomenal, hands down the best corn ever! For dessert we ordered the fried ice cream and I wasn't impressed at all. It tasted just like Sam Diego's in Hyannis. Fried ice cream should be warm and cold and the shell should be crispy. It tasted like it was MAYBE fried beforehand and then put in the freezer for several hours or like it was rolled in cornflakes or something. It was soggy and completely cold and literally swimming in a chocolate sauce. None of us enjoyed it, it wasn't what fried ice...
