My sister and I stopped here to purchase of bottle of Prosecco. I (31) and my sister (34) approached the register. My sister carried the alcohol, presented her ID and presented payment. We were denied the sale because my ID wasn’t present and, the very snippy cashier, stated it was “MA state law”. This is simply incorrect. State law requires the purchaser and possessor of the alcohol to present ID. A store may deny a sale based on store policy if they believe someone in the party without ID reasonably appears to be underage; I clearly do not look like I’m under 21 and it still is not state law. I absolutely love this place. I've lived in the area now for a year and I just recently started going here. I always went to meetinghouse for everything but one day I decided to stop in. I'm wicked glad I did. This place has quite possibly the best selection of alcohol outside of Kappy's in Hyannis. When I say they have an amazing selection, I'm not lying.
