Dan Smith Candy Company & Gifts — Local services in Sandy Township

I visited Dan Smith Candy on 2-14-2023 for the first time. The store is easy to find and when I walked up they had some very nice decorations in the window for the holidays. The store was very clean and organized. Once I entered the store, I was greeted and felt welcome immediately. The two women working were incredibly nice and super friendly. I have gone into candy stores all through pa and have never had an experience like today. I always go back to stores when the customer service is so welcoming.

I only bought some of the smaller items in the store. I purchased a couple of chocolate covered pretzels, heart gummies, and a couple of the peanut butter meltaways. The peanut butter meltaways came in 3 and egg-shaped. There are different variety of sizes and shape they come in.

The taste of the peanut butter meltaways was incredible. The ratio of peanut butter to chocolate was perfect. This is my favorite kind of chocolate to eat. I have always felt the Easter eggs that Reeses's makes are amazing. Not anymore Dan Smiths peanut butter meltaways top it. The other candy was fresh and tasted amazing. I only wanted a couple of chocolate covered pretzels, and they did not have any prepackaged. The staff showed me they had them in the case. She mentioned they could package them up for me. I mention this since other candy stores staff get annoyed or mad to package 2. This was not the case here, and she was happy to package them. They go above and beyond at this store, and I really appreciate it.

The store had a lot of different items such as wind chimes and other decorations. I got caught up with looking around the store to take pictures. I will get pictures on my next visit.

From the amazing customer service, great candy, and perfect price, it is the perfect store in the DuBois area for candy.

This place is SWEET!!!! Literally! My daughter, son-in-law and two small kids travelled to Dubois for their oldest child's college world series softball games. They were unable to take their two middle children because of school and other obligations at home. As a result, the whole family wasn't there for our son in law's birthday. :( We called up Dan Smith, SPOKE WITH BARB, (CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A SMILE :) !!!) We told her our predicament and she was able to get the ok to take a phone order for a box of Peanut butter meltaways, gift wrap it up, put a birthday card from the kids (Happy Birthday Daddy, we love you!) and DELIVER to Hampton Inn, so that the kids who couldn't be there in Dubois would still be able to be a part of his special day and give their dad a birthday gift on his birthday! Sweet product and even better, reasonably priced for the candy and the delivery!!! Dan Smith Candy went over and above to help out! Whatever you do, go out of your way to do business with this place.
