Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Sandy Township

Whenever I do a review of a resteraunt, I take everything into consideration. I also wait to give reviews on bad experiences to give the resteraunt another chance. There are things that can be out of their control. I do not enjoy giving places under 3 stars, and if I do, that means I have given the resteraunt several times, and it is the same outcome.

Ruby Tuesday was one of our favorite resteraunts in the area.

After several visits dining in or take out, we have given up. The reasons for the 1 star include. The last visit 2 burgers and ribs. We had a gift card we were using, and the staff said we couldn't use it. We had to get a manager. The food was incorrect, and one burger was completely red inside, almost raw. The other burger had a lot of pink inside. Both were supposed to be well done. Called, and the staff started getting annoyed when I asked for a manager and basically got the run around. Then higher up management reached out and said they would send a gift card for the number of burgers. It never showed. Previous visit Burger and tacos for takeout. Burger was supposed to be well done, and it was pink inside. I checked before leaving and told the waitress. After the eye roll, she took it back, and they made a new one. Brought it out, and I checked it was done perfectly, but the tacos sat for about 15 minutes. Asked if she was going to do anything about them since basically they sat for so long. Her exact response was, "I gave you your burger," and left. Anyone who has enjoyed tacos knows they can't sit for that long. I could go on, but basically, dining in or takeout one or both have been wrong.

We have reached out on issues, but nothing gets fixed, and all feedback consists of we never hear these things from that resteraunt. The other would be a gift card then told you can't use it.

It is sad that the resteraunt has gone down. The prices are really decent, the amount of food you get are large portions when it's right.

This location is easy to get to,l with plenty of parking. We showed up on a Monday evening about an hour before closing and we’re seated immediately. The hostess was kind. As we pass the salad bar. I did not that it was picked over and some ingredients/food items didn’t look fresh. I didn’t expect much more than this knowing they were closing shortly, so we decided to pass on the salad bar as an option.

The waiter was kind and responsive. Quickly took our order and was happy to make a change to my meal request a few minutes after ordering. We ordered two entrees and a mixed drink. One entree was a burger and the other salmon. I personally was expecting a bit more food with the salmon entree for $18-19. The salmon was good, thankfully, but the mashed potatoes were not warm and didn’t have food flavor. The broccoli cheese soup was okay, edible but lacked good flavor. I can easily whip up a batch of broccoli cheese soup at home that tastes 20x better. The burger meal was good and the pricing ($12) was fair. Lastly was the $9 mixed drink that came out in a glass that was filled with ice, making little room for the drink itself. Definitely over priced for what we got, but it’s seems to be on par with how most establishments make drinks and price them.

Overall, the atmosphere was quiet, rather clean, and the service was good. I could have enjoyed my food more and felt my salmon meal was lacking in the amount of food so I’m giving my review a 3 star rating. I wouldn’t pick this as a restaurant to return to any time in the near future as I know there are many...

I was there with my friend today and the server was clearly being a hater. Every time she walked by she would make weird eye contact with my friend who was trying to eat, like she had a problem or something. A lot of people are intimidated by my friend so I know that's what it was. Then she picked up her card and tried to swipe it. She had a really big smirk on her face like it was funny. My friend took it out of her hand really fast and didn't give her a tip. Then as she was leaving she said to us to have a good day and the server thought she was mocking her because the server used the same words but my friend wasn't even paying attention. Then I told her that the server was laughing at her to her so my friend asked the server basically what her problem was. The server walked away so my friend yelled that she wasn't even talking to her. So there's no reason to be sensitive about our private conversation. Anyway it was pretty clear the server wasn't going to say or do anything so my friend started walking out the door. Then she said something snarky with a smirk on her face when my friend was already in the foyer at the last second. Of course when there's plenty of space between them. That's how people are.
