Los Andes Shop — Local services in Sandy

I have bought 4 blankets from Los Andes Shop at 2 different times: the blue queen blanket, the fuchsia throw, the jewel tone throw, and a thinner small navy blanket that's not (or no longer) listed on their site.

I had the luck of coming across this store at Halloweentown in 2021, if I remember correctly, where my mom and I were drawn by the beautiful colors and designs. My mom is a 40+ year knitter, so is very familiar with fabrics, including their quality. I am clueless on that, but she noted that these are extremely good quality fabric for a great price. I got the blue blanket for me and the beautiful fuchsia throw for my mom. Both are so BEAUTIFUL. 3.5 years later and I can now attest to the quality from experience with this holding up without any sign of aging. I have washed it at least 3 or 4 times (following the instructions not to dry it), and it hasn't affected the colors, appearance, or feel at all. I don't think the pictures on the site do justice for just how beautiful this blanket is - the site photos show beautiful colors already, but in person it's even prettier and all of the colors are richer. It's also extremely warm and soft. I use it on my couch. It's perfect for winter warmth and as a decoration when I'm not using it. Unfortunately for me, as I told Deborah, my 2 kitties think it's the best thing in the world, so they are usually sprawled out on it all day, ensuring I can't use it :) But it's always a testament to something's great quality when my picky kitties love something so much.

In 2025, I reached out to Deborah to ask if she has any small or baby blankets because my kitties are always stealing my blanket but they don't need a full-size blanket. That's when I got the jewel tone throw and smaller blanket. Deborah was extremely accommodating. While the kitties love these too, they continue to steal my blanket as well! But at least now I can steal theirs if they steal mine! Picture of them on the thoroughly shedded on and loved blue and jewel tone blankets attached. I would absolutely buy more of this shop's products...

I discovered Los Andes shop last summer while on a girls weekend at Mt. Hood. While at the shop I purchased 3 poncho blankets for myself, my daughter, and her best friend. We all absolutely love them and use them all the time!!!!! I loved them so much, that I just purchased more for my sister in laws! Unfortunately, the store front is no longer open, but I am so happy to have access to these high quality products on line. I 100% recommend purchasing from this small business. Fantastic little shop. The owners are also a delight. And, get this, they know the artists that make the products they sell. Like personally. I'm wearing the most beautiful, thickest alpaca sweater and my notoriously angry skin doesn't care. I'm not itching or scratching. And I'm so warm it's crazy but I'm not sweating! Miracle fiber.
