Hobby Lobby — Local services in Sanford

Customer service was awful today Saturday, July 30, 2022 because two cash registers were open with eight people in one line and nine people in another line. There were five additional staff members located at the front of the store plus the manager who did not ask any of the staff to open up additional registers to help customers. While we were standing in line there was another customer who complained that another register needed to be opened and the manager ignored that customer and told him oh well if he didn’t like it he could leave. The managers name that was on duty today was Steven and his attitude was poor, and he refused to make eye contact with people who were getting frustrated as the wait time as number three in line was 21 minutes from the time I stepped into line until checkout. When questioned about opening another line and taking care of the customers by my husband Steven rolled his eyes and looked away promptly and would not engage with the customers. I normally go into hobby lobby multiple times and I enjoy myself. Today. It was really crowded and people was not paying attention to either move up in line and chose to stand on the long line and wait. I didn't want to stay at this cash register. I have bad anxiety. I do not like people standing behind me because of some trauma (SA) that I've been through. I do not like people standing close to me because of the trauma (SA) I've been through so I saw a lane that was open and there was a cashier there. On my way to go up there because nobody didn't want to go. The woman got loud with me in the store and told me I can't come to this register until other people in front of me go. The other people in front of me don't want to go so why I got to stand here and suffer with my anxiety because other people don't want to move. Just because they don't have anxiety and they can stand in the line longer than me. It doesn't mean I can't go to the other cash register that is open. Its a big store with a lot of selection, but the prices are marked up way over retail, then when they are running a sale you aren't really getting a deal, you're just paying what it should be all the time. I get a 7 inch strand of titanium quartz crystals off eBay for less than $6 shipped from California, NOT China. Yet a shorter strand, with much less quality crystals, is about $15 at Hobby Lobby and comes from China. If you make jewelry as a career, you need to contact the corporate office to ask exactly what metals are used in the jewelry parts (chains, jumprings, ring blanks, etc), because NONE of the jewelry making materials they sell at Hobby Lobby are clearly marked with what they're made of, & most have warnings right on the label that they may contain LEAD. So, be careful of what you buy! Most of their jewelry material that look silver are actually poorly plated...
