The chimmest changa Iāve ever had!
I decided to order some dinner for my friends and I last Tuesday (12 October 2021). We got 2 Arroz Con Pollo with extra queso, a chicken chimichanga, a chicken quesadilla and jalapeƱo poppers. I ordered this online for pick up. When I arrived, there was a man in front of me waiting for his pick up order as well. They asked for his name on the order, he told them, so they grabbed the bags of food and off he went. But only for him to return 6 minutes later to return the food and tell them āthis isnāt my orderā. They took the food back, looked at them name on it, looked up at me and asked āare you Tanner?ā I replied āum yesā. So they gave me my food and I left. But my question isā¦whatās the point of asking someoneās name if you arenāt going to verify it on the receipt? I guess we are just handing out bags of food now. Time to get back in line for round two!
As far as the food goes. The Arroz con Pollo was a good portion with good flavor but no queso. Even tho we asked for extra queso. RIP to our dreams of extra queso. The quesadilla was standard, definitely not a bad choice to go with if youāre looking for a little something on the sideā¦I meanā¦arenāt we all looking for a little something on the sideš The jalapeƱo poppers, they were awesome, not the best Iāve ever had, but delightful. (Heard that once or twice in my lifeā¦unfortunately) The popper was as a nice dark golden brown with plenty of cream cheese and jalapeƱo. And it had a great crunch to it. Definitely would pop that popper again if you know what Iām sayin. But the chicken chimichanga!!! My god! It was loaded with salt. So much salt I couldnāt eat it. Iām serious, it tasted like every inch of that burrito was covered in salt. The tortilla, the chicken, the sauce. It was unbearable!!! I know you add salt for flavor, but not to the point where the only flavor you are experiencing is salt. Quite a disappointment (Like myself but thatās besides the point)
I wouldnāt mind trying their food again in the future (with higher expectations) but if you are going to order the chimichangaā¦maybe find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Aye Toro with my colleagues for a company dinner, and overall, it was a delightful experience. As our party consisted of 20 people, organizing the seating arrangements was understandably challenging, but the staff at Aye Toro handled it well and ensured everyone was accommodated comfortably.
To start off our meal, I ordered the Pork Belly Bites as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious. The combination of tender pork belly and flavorful seasonings created a tantalizing taste that left me wanting more. It was a perfect way to kick off the dining experience.
For the main course, I opted for the Al Pastor Tacos, and they did not disappoint. The tacos were filled with succulent, marinated pork that had been expertly grilled to perfection. The flavors were robust, and the accompanying toppings complemented the dish beautifully.
To accompany my meal, I decided to try their special Watermelon Margarita, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The refreshing blend of watermelon flavor and the smoothness of the tequila made it a perfect companion to the savory dishes. It was a unique twist on a classic cocktail and added a touch of excitement to the evening.
Overall, my dining experience at Aye Toro was memorable and enjoyable. Despite the challenge of organizing seating for our large group, the staff handled it well and ensured everyone had a comfortable dining experience. The Pork Belly Bites, Al Pastor Tacos, and the special Watermelon Margarita were all outstanding in terms of taste and presentation. I highly recommend Aye Toro for its delicious food, attentive service, and a vibrant atmosphere that makes dining there a truly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me say that I usually have a decent experience at Aye! Toro, but I must say that after my recent encounter with them (afternoon of May. 13, 2020), I will never go back. I had my out of town guest for my wedding event meet us there. They never stated that the party was too large and that they could not handle the group. We were seated in the closed in area with an outside view. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and we were literally there for almost 2 and a half hours by the time everyone got their food!!! My guest even started clearing the tables and placing their own dishes at the bar. She mixed up the bills and we corrected her several times. Then she went around again and literally asked us who had what drink! Long story short, everyone paid their bill- another 20 minutes and as they drove off one by one, my husband waited for the last of the guest to pay their bill. The manager comes out and tells my husband that he is not leaving because one of us did not pay our bill- the audacity, seeming we sat with the waitress multiple times and told her who had what and even told her how many drinks we had! When my husband told me of the incident, I called to speak to the manager and he put another manager on the phone (a woman), who stated she was not there when we came, but was asked to get on the phone and speak to me. That manager (the woman) stated that she was told that the one of the people "RAN off" and did not pay their bill. I kindly told her that I was very much insulted and that if she questioned our honesty then she needed to watch the cameras in the restaurant and that next time someone should help the waitress instead of having other workers sit and watch her be...
