Spring Lane Cinemas — Local services in Sanford

The woman supervisor is the worst. She refused to give us a refund because it was too far into the movie, but we couldn't enjoy it because idiots kept talking throughout the movie. We tried to ignore it, but they were too loud! She didn't want to give us the refund nor come in there and tell them to shut up so we could at least somewhat enjoy what we paid for, but she did neither. I didn't want to deal with her rotten attitude. So we left. Terrible service! I come here once in a blue moon, and I never seem to enjoy it. I figure why not save gas and just watch movies here, but I'm rethinking my options. The seats are wet/moist, the theater rooms smell bad like moldy and it's very humid in there. They can't afford to fix the air conditioning? Another thing I can't stand... You have 5 cars at a time parked and or waiting in the NO PARKING fire lane and management doesn't come outside and tell them to move or call the cops on them. Then again, most of the workers there are teenagers. I've seen an elderly lady (using a walker) with her daughter having to park a long way instead of being dropped off at the front, because of the cars blocking the way and talking about how inconsiderate people are. Don't get me started on the a-holes that park in handicap parking when they don't have the legal tags. I wish more police officers would patrol this area. They would hand out tickets like hotcakes.Maybe that'll teach them a hard lesson. These people that park in the fire lane are more than capable of walking a couple feet, but park illegally. I recommend Regal Cinemas in Cary and you get rewards for watching movies. Here you give them your money and get awful service and the people in the theater are just as bad. I don't know about you... But I'd rather give my money at a business that gives me...

I wish I had checked the reviews here before going today. The employees were very nice. This review is not about them. But i should have known better as soon as I drove into the parking lot. It clearly has NOT been maintained in quite some time. The building was all faded and the parking lot had grass growing through it and where there once used to be flower beds…it’s just weeds. I initially HONESTLY thought the place was closed down. There were 4 cars parked there. I should have known better. The doors were dark and cardboard over the booth windows. Inside, the floors were horrible. The smell…. I should have known better. Problems with the AC? There was a fan propped on a chair. Walking the hall to our cinema was disturbingly deliverance like. Are the floors meant to look like that?? Peeling paint. I should have known better. There were electronic signs at each cinema…but they didn’t work either. Thank goodness it was dark inside the theater so I couldn’t see the filth I know was there. Did I mention the smell? The bathroom needs to be soaked in Clorox. I should have known better. It looked like this was the last day they would be open before they pulled up roots and close up forever…..which I think is imminent. If you cannot afford to make the place more presentable - sell it and close it now. There is no way this place passes inspections of ANY KIND. Do not expose yourself and your children to this filthy establishment. It....

I've gone here many times in the past and I can say for certain that this is not the best movie theater I've been to. Although, I have still had plenty of fun experiences seeing movies such as Inside Out 2 here.

A few things that detract from the experiences on some visits, though, is the lack of air conditioning in a few of the theater rooms which is annoying when you're trying to focus on the movie. Secondly, a few of the screens either have a crease in them or a weird black stain. Finally, the audio for movies can be a bit too loud sometimes.

Now, onto the positives. The popcorn and drinks here are quite good and decently priced. They also have a nice selection of arcade games to play before or after watching a movie. The staff are also quite nice here, giving good service whenever I come to see a movie at this theater. Finally, they have great deals on Tuesdays where movie tickets are $5! My fault if I got the day wrong, but the deal's still great!

All in all, I have had plenty of good experiences here at this theater, but I much prefer others to this one when looking to see movies. Definitely give this place a go if you're looking for a good local theater or are trying to...
