Main Sound — Local services in Santa Ana

I brought my vehicle to Main Sound on March 12, 2025 for new rims and wheel installation. I paid $1,300. Less than half a mile after leaving the shop, the rear driver-side wheel detached. The incident caused visible body damage.

Instead of filing an insurance claim or taking responsibility, Main Sound referred me to another shop, promising a “full body and paint restoration.” Eight months later, the car still isn’t restored to pre-incident condition. I’ve been patient and cooperative, but the process has been nothing but delays, excuses, and broken commitments.

When I asked for their insurance information to handle the matter properly, they refused to provide it. I never signed any release of liability, and I simply expected the car to be repaired the right way.

I’m posting this so others know what I wish I had known: if something goes wrong, this shop does not stand...

Honestly the best shop ive ever been to for rims and tires so of course i trusted them to get a stereo system the pricing is the lowest you will get and if anyone on here is complaining its because they were probably assuming installation was free which is literally common sense out the door everything went 10/10 i blew out my speakers first 2 weeks gave me a better JBL system that i get complimented on all the time ! I know he didnt make any money off of that he gave me a deal to help me out. He also help me build my credit by financing my rims which were only 1200$ its the best place if you want quality and top notch customer service the owner Joe truly cares about...

Let me start with a Pros and then cons. Pros: Joe the owner has a great personality. He values my time while I was there for the 1st. visit. Reasonable price for my car stereo installation that includes the kit. Surprisingly they gave back my original stuff. Cons: I am meticulous about wiring and housekeeping. After I paid and check my inside and out. I found dirty dashboard, handprints on my ceilings and much more. I have pictures attached. I wish they have to walk and show the things they've done.
